About Wingstop Belfast

Wingstop Belfast is a chicken wings restaurant at 1-9 Boucher Pl in Belfast, built around 10 wing flavours that run from mild to hot. Wings come in portions of 3, 5, 8, 10 or 12 pieces, and the 32-dish menu also covers boneless pieces and tenders. Voodoo Fries sit alongside the chicken, and Camden Town Beer gives drinkers an alternative to the bottomless soft drink. Customers order at the counter from a cashier, and the team talks them through the menu options. The kitchen then prepares the food and brings it to the table. The format suits sitting in better than grabbing a quick takeaway, and smaller bite portions are available for lighter appetites.

Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often single out the flavours and the friendly counter staff, who walk first-timers through the menu and suggest options such as the Louisiana flavour. Diners praise the wings, the spicy chicken and the fries, with one calling the fries the most awesome, and describe the portions as plenty to fill you up. A few mention the Oreo milkshake and the classic wings as nice. The main complaint is slow service. One reviewer waited a long stretch for a single order of wings and a milkshake, never received the dip, and saw the order sitting behind the counter. Another found the bites cold, the ranch sauce bitter, and the loaded fries only sauced, and felt the meal was expensive for its size, with no napkins provided. One returning diner found service far faster on a second visit, with staff clearing trays and checking on tables. A few suggest the counter-only ordering could use screens at busy times, and one notes the music is a bit loud.

“Very good food. Staff very helpful. You order then food takes a bit of time as being prepared but other than music a bit loud food was worth the wait. Good portions, clean and tidy. Maybe not geared for anyone wanting quick take out. More of a sit in place. Would benefit from screens at busy times to order food than just counter cashier service however the queue wasn't that long a wait for us as was quiet inside.”

“First time at this restaurant. The food is great but the staff is very slow. Waited 20mins on one order of wings and one milkshake. Didn’t even get my dip at the end. Seen my order sitting behind the counter for 5mins before the staff clocked on that it wasn’t meant to be with the delivery food. Very poor attention to detail.”

“EDIT: 13th May 2026 We returned tonight 7pm after deciding to give it another try and the experience was totally different! Fast order, fast service - 8 minutes from order to table. Counter staff were friendly and attentive. Waiting staff were also on their game, asking if everyone was ok and taking trays away. The food was excellent. No complaints at all. My wife came this time and she liked everything about it. I still think its a little expensive ... but compared with Five Guys next door and other similar chicken places I guess it's comparable. Massive improvement! 8x Wings. £8.50 8x Bites (Small). £8.50 1x Buffalo Ranch Loaded Fries. £4.95 (They are NOT 'loaded', they simply have sauce on them.) 1 Oreo Milkshake. £5.25 1 Bottomless Soft Drink. £3.95 Total = £31.15. This was an expensive small meal for 2 people, we even shared the fries to try to keep the cost down. Service was extremely slow, you order and they bring it to your table about 20mins later. I appreciate that this branch has just opened but it wasn't particularly busy, (4.30pm). The Bites were cold. We both didn't like the flavour of the fries. They had 3 different flavours - cajun spice seasoning, Ranch sauce and cheese sauce which didn't go well together. The ranch sauce was bitter and not pleasant. Not like other ranch sauces I'd tasted. The honey mustard dip was nicer. On the plus side - Classic wings were nice in flavour. Oreo Milkshake was nice. The young guy serving me was friendly and helpful, service only scores low because of the speed and no napkins were provided. I had a hard time finding them. They also need to supply refreshing wipes as your fingers get very sticky. A Chicken Wing place with no napkins or little wet wipes (like KFC) is such a pain. You need to use the bathroom to wash up = annoying. All in all - extremely disappointing. Very overpriced for very mediocre, cold food and poor-sized portions. Would I return? Probably not. Other alternatives such as KFC provide much, much better value and taste.”
