  “Gemma's of Leigh hosted an 80th Afternoon Tea for us on Sunday 23rd November. Gemma and her team were super accommodating, friendly and welcoming. They arranged dietary variations for gluten free/vegetarian needs, as well as a sumptuous Afternoon Tea for 25 people, including an adjusted version for our younger guests which they loved. The Afternoon Tea itself was generous in proportion, with an excellent range of freshly made sandwiches, cakes and scones. Generous with fillings, cream and jam. The cakes not only tasted beautiful, they looked beautiful. All served up in quaint, traditional bone china cups and saucers and plates, really adding to the Afternoon Tea experience. Hot tea and drinks supplied throughout as well as some bubbles to toast the birthday girl. We were able to reserve exclusive hire on a Sunday afternoon which was perfect for the occasion. Everything was well organised and well executed. My mother in law loved every minute of her special occasion and this was down to the warm, inviting and friendly atmosphere enjoyed by all. Thank you all for your help in making a special occasion so memorable and enjoyable. I would highly recommend booking Gemma's for special occasions celebrations!”

  “Me and my boyfriend came at the weekend, we only stopped for a coffee each but the vibe was just lovely. The staff were so friendly and the cakes looked amazing. Menu also looked great and other peoples food, would definitely come back to try their menu. Recommend for a little lunch / breakfast spot!”

  “I visited here on the 28th of September 2025, I brought my parents and my sister here for mum's birthday, we had afternoon tea, which was good. service was good too. If I had fault with the afternoon tea there were too many cakes and not enough sandwiches that's my only complaint. The waitress was very polite kind and attentive. the owner accommodated us as we were one person short on the day. Price of the afternoon tea was par for the course. If you're looking for a nice afternoon tea in Leigh-on-Sea, I would come here as the competition is either too expensive or wouldn't accommodate my requirements at all.”

  “We randomly picked this place to eat something for breakfast as we’ve never been, it’s a really lovely well decorated cafe/restaurant however it’s a bit pricey for the sandwiches/wrap sort of things, fry-up prices are ok, but £9.50 for a wrap with a bit chicken and cheese, crisps plus salad wouldn’t be my choice next time.”
