Customer Review Summary
Steak is the main draw, with diners praising the Toro's Special sirloin on a sizzling plate as tender, juicy and cooked to preference, and a surf and turf as full of flavour. Close behind are the sauces, especially the peppercorn, then the lamb shank that falls off the bone, lamb chops, chicken wings and calamari. Brunch also earns mentions, including a caramel latte and French toast, though one reviewer found the full English basic and wanted more flavour in the scrambled eggs. Complaints centre on execution. A few diners had steaks sent back for being undercooked, and one reports a medium order arriving raw. One table asked for dishes to arrive together but received them staggered, and a cancelled sizzler still came out. Two reviewers flag cash or bank transfer only, one noting there was no signage. Others mention a sweet pasta sauce and guitarists asking tables for money mid-meal. In each steak case, the staff took the plate back and cooked it again.

“Best Toros location, beats the other toros. My food was amazing! Everything was perfect. My steak was big and well cooked to my preference and was flavourful. Not like the other toros who are stingy with their portions and thin as paper steaks. This was real mans food. As you can see from my picture, it was devoured. 10/10”

“Went for brunch a few times and service was friendly and efficient. No long waiting times. Food and drinks were great. Will go back again.”

“We visited Toro’s to try their new breakfast menu, which we were really excited about. I went for the full English and my husband had the desi breakfast. Overall, it was a nice experience. The caramel latte was amazing genuinely one of the best I’ve had and the French toast for dessert was so good, definitely a highlight. With the full English, I’d just suggest a bit more flavour in the scrambled eggs, especially considering it’s an Asian restaurant where you expect that extra touch. It would also be nice to see a bit more variety, like adding a sausage or turkey rashers, as it felt quite basic. Overall though, I really enjoyed it and would definitely come back”

“Toro’s is one of my go-to spots and it never disappoints. Every visit starts strong with the lamb chops and chicken wings – both are always full of flavour and cooked perfectly. For the main, I always go for the Toro’s special with pasta and chips, topped with their incredible peppercorn sauce. It really brings the whole dish together and takes it to another level. This place is honestly magical when it comes to their sauces – they get it right every single time. Great food, consistent quality, and definitely a place I’d recommend.”

“We were Visiting Leicester from Cardiff and we had seen toro on TikTok . We arrived and as it was Saturday night it was very busy we were told it was a half hour wait on a table . Thankfully we had a table with in about 15 minutes . I think I would have waiting an hour for the table the food was so good . The lamb shank just fell off the bone and melted in your mouth . The calamari was cooked to perfection and every dish just bursted with flavour. The service was great and the staff were very informative you could see they knew the menu very well . My pet hat at a restaurant is when a server comes over and asks you if the food is alright when you have a mouth full of food , nobody did this at toro which personally I think shows they are confident in how good their food is and rightly so it was amazing . Having a sharing platter for starters, lamb shank and the prawns for mains and a few drinks I was surprised on how reasonable the bill was I was expecting it to cost a lot more and I would of paid it gladly . I think it’ll be my first stop if I’m in Leicester ever again. Such a shame the nearest toro is in Birmingham they need one of these in south wales”
