Customer Review Summary
Halibut is the dish reviewers name most, with one calling it well cooked and another recommending it with tarragon, though a third felt the accompanying prawns were seasoned for a different dish. Steak comes close behind. Sirloin and fillet at lunch pleased one pair, while another diner's steak arrived more rare than medium rare and went unfinished. Others single out the calamari as stunning, along with the gnocchi, the ribs and the seafood linguine. Reviewers repeatedly describe generous portions, reasonable prices and friendly, well paced service, and one notes that half portions are available. The drinks draw a more mixed response. One diner found the house rosé far too sweet and preferred the milder white, noting that only those two and the house red come by the glass. Another describes moderately long waits for food, but everything then arrived piping hot.

“When visiting town one Saturday, Son and I found this bijou restaurant via a search of the area, and went just after evening opening time as bookings are only taken for larger parties and were worried it would be busy, but we were seated immediately at a well positioned table by the window. The drinks and food service was well paced and attentive and friendly staff. House Rosé wine was way too sweet and dark pink, not what I expected from an Italian place. The white house wine was quite mild, enjoyed a little more. Besides these and the house red, the only ones sold by the glass. The mains we ordered were very generous portions. I ordered the Halibut which was well cooked, although the accompanying prawns seemed to be seasoned for a different dish, and didn't completely pull together for me, but I love both these foods. My son had a steak, which was more rare than medium rare and was unable to finish it, unfortunately. Altogether though, a pleasant evening.”
