“Such a lovely place, even the toilet is cosy clean and welcoming with lit candles. Ancient building with character worn stone flags, worn layers and layers of paint. Busy full of friendly people meeting each other for chats and lunch, staff friendly as well. Window view over Kendal in the rain. Food BEAUTIFUL delicious I had sardines, then a rich brownie/cake 🍰😍😊”

“The service, pizza and coffee were excellent. The length of time to be seated and served was short. The place was bustling with life and the atmosphere was warm, but it was incredibly difficult for my partner and I to hear each other thereby nullifying any conversation and increasing frustration on our parts. The acoustics are just terrible upstairs, can't explain it, but honestly, other than that one very weird grumble the place, staff, food, price, quality, location etc were all excellent. They also accommodated our child and made a margarita pizza for her despite it not being on the menu. I had some goats cheese, basil and hot honey pizza. It was delicious. Although, what is this new fascination with hot honey? You can't order anything contemporary without it being on every menu recently. 😂 Anyway, fantastic crust, dough, flavours. Highly recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.”
