Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return for the cheap drinks, with real ales, a good beer selection and Guinness pints singled out, and for food they call good value. Breakfast comes close behind, including the small breakfast and breakfast muffin, and some meals include a drink. One reviewer found almost no chocolate in the hot chocolate, and another says everything is salty. Fish and chips and a flame kuche style pizza get mixed reactions, and one longtime regular feels the chicken wings have slipped. Several call the staff nice and the pub big with a traditional feel, and one mentions the outside garden, though a business traveller wants more power sockets by the tables. The main complaint is slow food. One party who ordered breakfast through the table QR code was told porridge had run out, then toast, bacon and sausage, and the coffee machine was empty. They were left with two small bowls of cold porridge and a full refund. Another diner waited much longer on a first visit than on a second visit two nights later.

“Value wise the food is great. We had a diner: pizza that was more a flame kuche and fish and chips whereas the chips were oke and fish butter was more crunchy? And right now we just tried the breakfast deals: breakfast muffin and small breakfast. Overall, it is interesting that some meals include a drink. We took the hot chocolate (without almost no chocolade in there), coffee and Guinness pints. It is a good formula to combine food including drinks if you ask me. Everything has a lot of salt, so you want to drink more. Thanks”

“The place has a good potential but is jot looked after. The tables are always dirty and never tide up. Customers will leave the table and their food and drinks will stay for hours. Waiters definitely need table service and hygiene courses. Many seagulls we also will start atacking the left overs duo to late table cleaning, which creates disturbance for the rest of the customers. Other than that the food is good.”

“First time here 36 mins for food, not up to Wetherspoons normal standards. Second visit two nights later food took 10 mins. Maybe some of the staff off ill? Beers cheap and foods good, so worth the wait I recon.”

“We were there for 8am and had the breakfast and a cuppa tea. Cheap but not bad but there a plenty of other places that do it better. The service was good but did not like the queuing to get my own tea.”
