Customer Review Summary

The flat iron steak is the dish reviewers raise most, called simply delightful by one diner and perfectly cooked with peppercorn sauce by another. Close behind are the steak pie, with generous pieces of steak and excellent gravy, and a large bucket of mussels in an excellent broth. Others single out fish and chips with Cajun seasoned chips, a haggis patty, and small plates shared tapas style. The room is described as cozy and relaxed, with soul and jazz not too loud, friendly staff, and a children's menu that suited a family of five. One reviewer's venison haunch arrived overcooked without being asked how it should be cooked, and another says it gets lively later in the evening. One diner liked the BBQ sauce with the fries enough to ask for a second cup.

“Music was not too loud, service was friendly and prompt, prices were decent and the portions were big. The BBQ sauce that was served with the fries was sublime, I had to ask another cup. Everything was well made and the haggis "patty" was great addition. Did not try the cocktails, but Ossian ale was a good find.”

“Fantastic restaurant in Inverness with very good wait and bar staff. We had the steak pie and bucket of mussels and both were superb. The steak pie had great pieces of steak and the gravy was excellent. The mussels is a very large portion with an excellent broth. For dessert we chose cheese cake with cream and it was incredible. The server mentioned it was new or limited so hopefully it’s kept as it is worth a trip just for it”

“Lovely meal at Jimmy badgers, attentive and professional waiter and bartender, food was very good, I’ve taken one star off for food as sadly the venison haunch was overcooked and we weren’t asked how we would like it cooked, but it was still a lovely meal and very nice bottle of wine.”

“★★★★★ We visited Jimmy Badgers as a family of five, with two adults and three children, and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed and very welcoming. Our food arrived quickly and everything was delicious. There was also a children’s menu, which was perfect for our family. The staff were very friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The prices were reasonable and offered good value for money. We would happily visit again and can definitely recommend Jimmy Badgers, especially to families.”

“Nice spot to enjoy dinner and drinks 🍻 Can get lively later in the night, but our Sunday evening dinner was nice and chill 😁 I really enjoyed the fish and chips, especially having the chips with Cajun seasonings!! Great selection of non-alcoholic beers as well 🍻”
