About Johnny Foxes
Johnny Foxes is a pub on Bank St in Inverness, with wood and bare stone throughout and a choice of bar, table and booth seating. Live music plays here on occasion, including after 10 PM, which suits a late evening out. The kitchen draws on Scottish and eclectic dishes, and the burgers include the Nessie Burger and the vegan Beyond Burger. The menu marks vegan options with a VF, and it also lists vegetarian and gluten free choices. At the bar, whisky and other Scottish drinks are poured, and the team can give whisky pairing advice. Screens show sport such as the FIFA World Cup. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out friendly, attentive service, with several describing staff who looked after them, helped with menu choices and brought over a colleague for whisky pairing questions. Food comes close behind, with generous portions named repeatedly: the Guinness beef pie, Cullen Skink, haggis spring rolls, fish and chips, the Nessie Burger and a Cajun chicken pizza, plus venison that one diner calls wonderful. Guinness and Scottish lager turn up in several accounts. Vegan diners note that the menu marks vegan options, and one praises a tomato and red bell pepper soup and crispy seasoned fries. That same reviewer found the Beyond Burger patty a bit overcooked and noted the bread came with no butter alternative. The mood is described as a pub rather than a restaurant, busy with tourists and football on the screens, yet one family brought a four-year-old at 9 o'clock and felt welcome. One couple without a reservation on a busy Saturday night were seated, and live music started after 10 PM.

“This place was nothing short of spectacular for a nice dinner with the family. Just because it’s a wild bar at night does not mean you can’t bring a four-year-old here at 9 o’clock. Strong recommend for the muscles. Special thanks to Lucy for all her fantastic service!”

“We visited Johnny Foxes today on our first trip to Inverness, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. A special mention goes to Callum, who looked after us. His customer service was outstanding – he was welcoming, friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. It’s rare to receive service that genuinely stands out, and Callum was a real credit to the pub. The food was excellent too. We had the fish & chips, the Nessie Burger, and the Cajun chicken pizza, and every meal was delicious, fresh, and generously portioned. To wash it all down, we enjoyed a couple of Guinnesses and some Scottish lager, which were spot on. If you’re visiting Inverness or looking for somewhere to enjoy great food, drinks, and exceptional service, we’d highly recommend stopping by. Thanks again to Callum and the team for making our first visit to Inverness such a memorable one!”

“This one was a pleasant surprise with the town busy with tourists many places had little or no room. The pub/restaurant was busy but not too busy to seat us. Lots of others eating and watching the FIFA World Cup on the many Screens. They have bar, table and booth seating options. We had a booth which is a bit quieter and they were decorated nicely. Menu has Gluten free, vegetarian and Vegan options. Service was top notch, food was delicious and the drinks were served quickly. This place had good free WIFI, clean washrooms and a great variety of food for us. Our Server (Lauren) was warm, welcoming, attentive and engaging with us in helping us find the foods we were looking for. With just the right amount of chatting as a server she made for an impressively excellent customer experience. She was able to bring over a colleague (Sean) for whisky pairing questions. His advice and discussion brought another layer of service to our experience and made my dessert and finish to the meal far beyond our expectations. I highly recommend checking this establishment out.”
