Customer Review Summary
Wings draw the most comment, and mostly negative: reviewers describe them as stale with curry powder, tasteless, or purple inside, though one visitor found them far better than other Spice Hut branches. Close behind, the doner is called drowned in oil by one reviewer and flavourless by another. Chips are described as thin, over-fried, or re-fried and drenched in oil, with one calling them crispy and decent. Several mention dry, old chicken that seemed to have sat for hours, and one describes a chicken burger taken from a hot hold and put on the flat top for sear marks. Service draws complaints of an impolite order taker and stinginess with tissues. One reviewer reports a fly in a doner and worries about food poisoning, and another describes a cook chewing paan. A single positive review praises friendly staff, clean tables and tasty fried chicken. One order ended with a normal burger packed instead of two Tikka burgers, topped with tikka sauce.

“I love eating at spice hut. This was my first time trying this branch and I was very disappointed with the quality of the food. I found some of the chips didn't look cooked properly. The meat were big chunks and did not taste good either. The quality of this branch is not very good. I was not able to finish the food.”

“Very disappointing experience. The main item I ordered was wings, but the wings were very poor in taste and quality. The burger was also not good. It was a waste of money. The person taking the order was not polite and customer service needs improvement. I would not recommend this place.””

“Worst spice hut . The wings were stale and had curry powder in them . They are more like curry wings not spicy wings. The spicy doner was extremely oily and was drowned in oil . Chips are so thin and over Fried. The guy cooking in kitchen was chewing pan, had a red lips and his cheek was full of paan. I don’t recommend this place . Food is bad and no quality . Place looks dirty too Wings are at front display and are getting the draft into Machine . Bad bad quality .. I m sorry I had to me honest . Really disappointed”

“Ordered a chicken burger and was really concerned about how it was handled. The chicken clearly came out of a hot hold (so not freshly cooked), then was put on the flat top just to add “sear marks” — on a fried chicken burger, which makes no sense. If food is being hot-held, it needs to be kept at proper safe temperatures the whole time. In this case, it didn’t seem fresh and may have been sitting for a while. Reheating the outside like that doesn’t guarantee the inside reaches a safe temperature either — it felt more like it was done for appearance than safety. Basic food hygiene should mean proper temperature control, correct reheating procedures, and not making reheated food look freshly cooked. From what I saw, food health and safety standards here were a zero.”
