About The Little Bridge
The Little Bridge is a pub in Huddersfield on Britannia Rd, set beside the River Colne with a little river terrace of its own. The bar serves cask ale and wine, and dogs are welcome. The food menu includes Whitby scampi and a halloumi wrap, along with roasted new potatoes with sea salt. A wait is quoted when you order food, and dishes can take a while to arrive. The pub is often crowded, so finding a seat can take some patience.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return mostly for the food, with the Whitby scampi called a cut above any other, and a halloumi wrap, a roast ham sandwich, a chicken and pesto panini and roasted new potatoes with sea salt all praised. Close behind are the terrace by the River Colne, a half of cask ale or a glass of wine, and a welcoming, cosy room that several call reasonably priced. A few regulars say it has never disappointed. The recurring complaint is slow food. One diner was warned of a short wait and accepted it, but another waited far longer than quoted for simple fries and a salad while the pub was not busy, and some tables stayed uncleared. The sharpest negative is a Cajun chicken and mozzarella wrap ordered gluten free that arrived on a hard wrap with cold chicken, no cheese and no gluten free sticker, after which the owner reportedly disputed the complaint.

“Really enjoyed a drink outside on the terrace on a beautiful summer's afternoon. We shared a halloumi wrap which was delicious and a bit different to a standard wrap. Food took a while but we were told there would be a short wait on ordering so no surprise.”

“Nice little place to have a drink, no doubt it's always crowded but if you get a seat it's a good spot to spend a bit of time.”

“After waiting an hour for food, the "gluten free" Cajun chicken with mozzarella wrap arrived on a hard, cardboard wrap, with cold chicken,a sprinkling of Cajun seasoning and no cheese,it had not been cooked, and no gluten free sticker on the plate. My partner ,who is over 80 and has heart failure and coeliac, was up all night ill with contamination ! It could have killed him! Obviously was not gluten free as requested !,.we hadn't been out for months ,and I always cook gluten free from scratch .We'd been there numerous times and he always had the same meal,so he knew this was obviously not what he ordered. On confronting the owner,we were more or less told we were lying, ...the Nerve of the woman ! Obviously ,we,and all our friends, will Not be going there again !”
