  “This has been my favourite place to meet my friend and her dog, Sandy. The team and the manager are so lovely, and they create such a caring atmosphere. We have been going there for years, and they have always made us feel so welcome. Yesterday they were especially kind to us, and I just wanted to say thank you. They really are genuinely lovely people. The coffee and food are great, and the place is always clean with great decor. Praise to the team—they make the world a better place, and I always leave feeling happy.”

  “More stickers for our passports. The staff, Kimmy and Joe were great and they loved Bruno's doggy passport; even asking if they could take a photo of it to use on their socials. I tried the Byron Bay Brunch for the 1st time and can highly recommend it.”

  “There are amazing, affordable food places in Brighton I visit many times a year . I visit midelo lounge very ocasionally. Maybe once or at most twice a year for coffee or a drink. I like the place ok but after today I'm unlikely to ever order food again IF IM PAYING almost £17 for a burgeri want to be full . Sadly I'm still hungry .... I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and a drink . Total £22.50 approx Underwhelmed. Not feeling either the cheesiness or the meatiness ... The tiny order of fries and mini serving of slaw didn't help One of those meals where you're left with the impression their priority is making money off you rather than leaving you satisfied . Not a good burger at all I'm afraid If you know your burgers.”

The space itself is beautifully done — stylish without being pretentious — and it’s just as perfect for a chilled coffee as it is for a full meal or evening drinks. What truly sets Modelo Lounge apart, though, is the staff — and in particular, Will and Jasper. Their work ethic is genuinely incredible. You can tell they care deeply about what they do, and it shows in every interaction. They’re constantly on the move, making sure everything runs smoothly, yet they never make you feel rushed or overlooked. Both of them bring such a natural friendliness that elevates the entire experience. They’re attentive without being overbearing, always happy to help, and have that rare ability to make every customer feel like a regular. It’s the kind of service that turns a simple visit into something memorable. It’s clear that Will and Jasper take real pride in their work, and they set the tone for what great hospitality should look like. Thanks to them — and the whole team — Modelo Lounge has become a standout spot in Hove that I’ll keep coming back to. Highly, highly recommended.”

  “Love these restaurants. They've got lots of vegan options. The decor is fun. The ordering process is very efficient and it's less dependent on wait staff. It's a great place for mums and babies to meet as there's lots of space.”

  “Baby friendly environment. The baby changing room is spacious and can accommodate the entire pram. The entrance has no stairs so it is quite easy to get in and out with a buggy. And the staff is very kind and helpful!”

  “Posting this review while I am in the restaurant sipping my second cup of hot water. Good food. Good people. Good location. First of all you should know the service was amazing. Not one, not two, but three people welcomed, attended and waited me today; all were equally polite, kind, professional, approachable, smiling throughout. Asked for hot water and got it immediately without any hindrance or judgement both the times (unlike some places I’ve been). Had smashed Avocados with poached egg on flat bread for late Brunch. It was delicious. And the sausage was perfect, as if it came straight from the farm next door this morning. I can’t believe this is the first time I’m visiting. Easily one of the easiest choices for me in future. I noticed them consistently asking all the guests about food allergies and choices. Overall, No complaints, it was perfect.”
