  “They do the worst shawarma. I got one full of garlic sauce with a few pieces of chicken. I couldn’t eat it , i had to throw it. Before you buy a shawarma from this takeaway , make sure they make it properly. I will never stop to buy food from this takeaway again.”

  “Delivery lass was canny and friendly but other than that - the smell alone was enough to make me want to bin my food. But to receive this was just liften like I don’t get it I ordered 2 weeks ago and was nothing like this! The kebab was lush. Different chips - Other than pizza dough being slightly underdone. But i could survive that … :( refund requested Hi there update as I cannot respond to owner - I actually really value the fact you take time from your business to look at reviews respond to them also - I have noticed this is a trending pattern which is good! I would use yous again as I said the first order was good!, This however isn’t local to me which is sad. But I can see per reviews that there seams to be a changes with suppliers. Is this something that happens often? - as I am new to steam really want to find the quality of food I enjoy .. do you have Facebook. Let me message you? Truth should have contacted first but I also believe reviews are good for this too. And it shows your commitment to fix an issue. Thank you. Top man”

  “Takeaway Ordered mixed kebab. Chicken and donner meat was ok. Got some kind of beef burger beer mat thing. All ok but nothing special. Biggest problem. No red cabbage salad? How can you have a kebab without the salad?? Surely it’s non negotiable. If you have to order separately it’s not clear on the menu and anyway it shouldn’t be. Disappointed”

  “Kebab box feast , incredible , all that chicken , kofta , lamb , donner meat , now the chips are even better as they are really tasty skin on fries , the service and friendliness of all the staff at shiney pizzabox is the best in all of Sunderland and surrounding areas , highly recommend the kebab box feast for quality , taste and value , comes with option of 12' garlic bread and 4 branded cans of pop of your choice for £26.50 , great value and for a family sharing meal you cant get better locally , best shop , best staff , best food ( awesome ) .”

  “We have used Pizza Box many times in the past and have never had any issues. We got food from here a few weeks ago and it was not great, but they were really busy and we thought it was a one off time of not so good food. We ordered food tonight and went to collect it. Staff lovely as always Food terrible. Kebab meat was tough, rubbery, parts of it looked really old and it had no taste. The chips used to be lovely from here but they were the worst chips ever. The were crispy in the outside with no potato on the inside and they were completely tasteless. The salad consisted of dried white cabbage, no red cabbage, a few bits of lettuce and onion. Overall the food was extremely poor quality and ended up in the bin. So disappointed”

  “Lived here all my life and always passed the shop never thought about trying it until tonight got a 14"BBQ pulled pork pizza cheese garlic bread and some Donner meat. Absolutely fantastic the chilli and garlic sauce were the best I've had in years. I can't believe how long I've missed going here.”

  “If your looking for spicey pizzas then this the place to go. I must of had a full jar of chilli's and jalapeños on my pizza. Only problem I ever find is the topping tends to slide off the base which is disappointing but bit you fold the pizza slice you can avoid this. Would be 5 star if this was fixed”

  “Ordered 3 kebabs. One tikka. Arrived they were all grilled chicken. They all had chips when one was ordered with salad instead. Rang up to ask for a replacement and instead of friendliness we got ten minutes of passive aggression. Firstly they said since we ordered online that’s where the mistake was for the no salad showing. My mother did press the button but it didn’t go through on the ticket (this was an honest accident and not their fault). But one of the kebabs was listed as tikka on the ticket which we didn’t receive. My mother tried to get a word in on the phone and the lady seemed to be more interested in defending the whole online thing rather than just processing a replacement politely. It made my mother feel uncomfortable. Then the lady kept trying to say that there was a tikka sent because “the girl watched him make it”? She was so rude. The chicken looked exactly like the others with no “tikka” sauce as described on top. I could hear her constantly accusing my mother as arguing when she was calm the whole time and just wanting to ask for a replacement before the food we had got cold. Then was made uncomfortable by her tone because they only had “one driver” and that we should come down with the food ourselves! Eventually she said when the driver was free (he was really nice to be fair), she would send a tikka kebab and the missing salad but we needed to return the chicken one (fair enough). Got here and the tikka kebab looked completely different to the “tikka” we apparently got the first time (funny how she was so argumentative that it was right the first time). To top it off, I’ve never tasted tikka like it in my life. It was like tasting insane amounts of salt and vinegar together. The other kebabs I’ve never seen soggier from a takeaway, it was leaking through everything.”
