Quick info
About Beirut sustainable food
On Newland Street in the Eden shopping centre, Beirut sustainable food serves Lebanese wraps and sides on a walk-in basis with no need to book. Chicken and lamb shawarma wraps are generous orders, and falafel comes crunchy outside and fluffy inside, served with hummus, pickles, and sauces. While orders are prepared, customers are often given a free falafel to try. Baklava is available as an add-on, alongside a batata wrap and fries. The restaurant is open daily, and the entrance is step-free, giving visitors with mobility needs level access into the space. Outdoor seating is set up for those who want to eat outside rather than at the indoor tables.

Customer Review Summary
Falafel and shawarma wraps draw the most praise here, with reviewers describing the homemade falafel as crunchy outside, fluffy inside and served with hummus and pickles. Several call it the best they have had, including one reviewer with an Arab background. Close behind are the chicken and lamb shawarma wraps, described as tender, well seasoned, generous in portion and held together to the last bite, with pickles and sauces that complement the meat. A veggie reviewer favors the falafel shawarma, and one parent says a fussy son loves the plain chicken version. Baklava gets a mention as delicious. Many reviewers say they were handed a free falafel to try while they waited, and one was surprised with boxes of baklava and dates. Hosts are repeatedly called welcoming and generous. The one complaint comes from a reviewer who found a chicken shawarma very greasy and dripping with oil, and who threw it away and wanted a refund. Several say they plan to return.

“Went for the frist time on the weekend and the chicken shwarma was delicious. Generous portion of chicken with nice pickles and complimenting sauces. Toasted just how I like it and the wrap stayed intact till the last bite. They lady even gave us a falafel with hummus while we waited. 10/10 I'll be coming back regularly.”

“The owner Yassir is too kind 🙏 Was driving on the motorway and looked for something with good reviews and easy access - this was perfect as the car is located right next to it in the shopping centre and it was very easy to locate. The owner was very welcoming and offered to taste the falafel and the shawarma meet as I was waiting for my order of the mixed lamb and chicken shawarma. Lots of outside seating available. Very good quality meat and fresh ingredients!”
