About The Three Elms
The Three Elms is a Greene King pub on Canon Pyon Rd in Hereford, where dogs get their own menu and free treats from a jar by the entrance. Greene King beers are served on hand pump, and guest ales sit alongside the Greene King IPA on the front tap. Low and no alcohol beers, ciders, lagers and cocktails are on offer too, so the drinks list extends beyond full-strength pours. The kitchen serves Sunday roasts, including a vegetarian wellington for anyone skipping meat. A meal deal pairs two meals with two drinks.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the evening meals, served hot on hot plates and described as tasty, with a two meals and two drinks special that surprised one couple with its quality. The ale side gets its own praise: Greene King on hand pump, plus Abbot and a Wye Valley beer, all served without off flavours, and a good range of low and no alcohol beers, ciders and cocktails for drivers. Several mention friendly, welcoming staff and a pleasant atmosphere, and one notes a dog menu with free treats in a jar by the door. Limited vegetarian and vegan choices are mentioned, though what is available is called very tasty. The Sunday roast draws the sharpest complaints. One diner found the Yorkshire pudding half frozen, the beef dry and the vegetables oddly sweet, while another described a vegetarian wellington as an upside down pie with dry pastry, dry roast potatoes and hard veg, and said nobody asked how the meal was.

“Sunday 6th September. I'm sorry to say, it was the worst meal I've had here. Was supposed to be a vegetarian wellington, it was just an upside down pie and not a good one. Very dry pastry. Also, the roast potatoes were very dry,the veg hard and as for the yorkshire pudding, shocking. Definitely not worth the money. Did struggle to eat it but it was bought for me. Didn't even get asked how our meal was.”

“Visited for food yesterday evening with daughter and son in law and pub was offering a reduced menu to try and keep the heat in kitchen a bit more bearable. The temperature inside wasn't too bad and staff managed admirably. Behind the scenes might not have been so calm though!”

“Visited here whilst on holiday and the service was excellent. Special shout out to Chris. He made us feel welcome and had great recommendations. Lovely atmosphere and nice garden area. Clean toilets. Food was tasty, hot and well priced.”

“Nice. Good selection of ales (don't be fooled by just Greene king ipa on the front tap, abbot and Wye valley butty were also available but it's past that entry sub bar). Prices are either side of £5 a pint. All served exactly as they should be (no off flavours). Completely dog friendly and they even have a dog menu (ice cream, steaks etc) and free treats in a jar as you go in. Nice friendly atmosphere, good seating. Not the best Greene king pub ever (no criticism, just hard to beat ones such as the court house in Caerphilly with the origins of the pub and fireplaces) better than most though. Friendly staff. Good service. Well worth checking out.”
