  “We visited while staying in Hebden Bridge for our first wedding anniversary. It’s in a lovely setting right on the main street, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout, but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing. We arrived at around 6:30pm and were told they were already running low on pizza bases, which seemed quite early in the evening and limited the options available. We were also told they needed the table back by 8pm. For starters, the garlic bread was really nice. We also had the garlic mushrooms, which tasted good but were incredibly oily, with the bread underneath completely saturated in oil. We both ordered the ’nduja carbonara for our mains and this was unfortunately the biggest disappointment. We obviously expected some heat from the ’nduja, but it was overwhelmingly spicy and nothing like what either of us expected from a carbonara. The pasta was coated in a very spicy, bright red sauce with nothing really resembling a carbonara at all. We appreciate it may be the restaurant’s own interpretation, but if so, the menu description really needs to make that clearer because it wasn’t what we thought we were ordering. The meal was also very slow-paced. Despite being told the table was needed back by 8pm, our mains didn’t actually arrive until around 8:10pm, so there was obviously no possibility of us being finished by then. We were there for around two hours, only had two drinks each, and then waited another 10 minutes after asking for the bill. There are definitely positives – the setting is lovely, the staff were friendly and the garlic bread was great – but unfortunately the experience as a whole just didn’t come together. Between the limited availability, oily mushrooms, disappointing mains and slow pacing, it wasn’t quite the anniversary meal we’d hoped for.”

  “Absolutely delicious pizzas. Everything was so nice and the staff were lovely. I had a pizza, my hubby had a calzone and we shared profiteroles. A must place to visit when you are in Hebden Bridge”

  “Visited Hebden Bridge at the weekend and just HAD to go to this place twice! Absolutely spot on… the pizzas are among the best we’ve ever had - and we kind of LOVE decent pizza! One of us 🙋🏻‍♂️ is an evil v*gan too, and it’s rare to get such a quality vegan pizza anywhere. But this place smashed it. Great little restaurant with a great team behind it too. Too perfect 🤩👌. I think we may have to get back to Hebden Bridge again!”

  “Absolutely lovely little restaurant. Loved the pasta and option to add buratta to everything! Music was great and had access to baby changer and high chair. My daughters pizza came in the shape of a bunny and the service was so lovely and attentive. Planning to come again!”

  “Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan heaven! Usually struggle to get anything more than a gross plastic textured pizza - not at Fratelli, without exaggeration, the best gluten free pizza I've had on earth, and I travel extensively! Priced very well for the service and quality of both food and drinks. Will be coming back here over and over again. Thanks! :)”

  “If I could give this place six stars, I would — and then I’d probably move in. From the moment we walked in, it felt like being hugged by an Italian grandmother who just wants to feed you until you explode. The garlic bread? Honestly, it should come with a warning label — dangerously addictive. I’d fight a bear for another slice. My partner Natalie had the gluten-free pizza, and for once, she didn’t have to pretend it was “just as good as normal pizza” — because it actually was! The pasta was pure magic, like the chef whispered sweet nothings in Italian to each noodle before serving it. Then came the tiramisu… good grief. I’m pretty sure I saw heaven. If I ever go missing, check Fratelli — I’ll be in the back somewhere, face-deep in dessert. The waitress? Absolute gem — polite, welcoming, and probably the reason I didn’t cry tears of joy mid-meal. In summary: 10/10 food, 11/10 service, 100/10 garlic bread. Fratelli, you beautiful, carb-filled masterpiece — we’ll be back.”
