Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the cocktails, from the Dilli Delight signature to the special menu drinks, with one reviewer describing a bubble gun presentation and another praising the mixologist. Close behind are the dishes: chicken vindaloo and dhal, momos, lamb skewers, the grilled sampler, biryani, chilli garlic chicken and a scallop starter all draw praise, along with the presentation and attentive, welcoming staff. Several call it a step up from a typical Indian restaurant, and a few say the higher prices felt justified. The main criticism is from one reviewer who found the queen scallops a tad rubbery, the prawn curry good but not outstanding, and the fish served in a bowl that was awkward to eat with the sides, so it broke in half when moved to the flat plate provided. Birthday and anniversary meals recur throughout, and one celebration ended with a sparkler surprise from the staff.

“We had such a fabulous evening at Dillie. The food was fantastic, and our friends, who were visiting for the first time, were just as impressed as we were. The cocktails were a real highlight, as were the chicken vindaloo and dhal — although, honestly, we couldn’t fault a thing. Everything was delicious, and the whole evening was just lovely. A huge thank you to all the staff for making our birthday dinner so special, and for the lovely sparkler surprise at the end. 🥂✨ We’ll definitely be back.”

“Absolutely wonderful birthday meal. We shared the momos, lamb skewers and grilled sampler to start, incredible flavours, all meat such high quality. Biryani or Chilli garlic chicken for a main was a stand out. Desserts all beautiful. And to top it off, their mixologist is A-star. Thank you to our server and manager, Nischal, so welcoming, attentive and talked us through each dish. So great to have a thriving independent business on the high street.”

“Such an amazing restaurant! We have been coming at least once a year for the last 5 years. Every time I visit this restaurant, I’m so excited! Everything is top notch! The food, the presentation and the service. We tried their Dilli Delight signature cocktail and it did not disappoint! I would say this is a restaurant worthy of Michelin status.”

“I was recommended this restaurant by a family member so I took my husband here for his birthday. We visited on a Sunday evening and all the tables were full all night. The service was great, every waiter / waitress was friendly and polite.. I think we tried all the special cocktails on the menu and they were so tasty. The food was absolutely amazing. Portion sizes were all just right and I managed to fit in pudding as well. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend this restaurant!”

“Absolutely brilliant experience! From booking the table to polishing the dessert - we had an amazing time here. Food was excellent and service from Nischal was top notch. Bishnu, the owner, paid personal attention to us and ensured we were served the kind of food we'd love. Quality of food and freshness were really good. What stands out is the sheer beauty of presentation. Will I recommend it? I guess you already have the answer. :)”
