“Food quality differs between orders, sometimes nice but we have frequently recieved dry chicken fried rice or stale chips. We have frequently ordered chow mein in the past and decided to try the house special chow mein. This arrived coated with a gelatinous gravy (which was not stated on any menus for the takaway), nor were we asked if we wanted sauce/gravy when we placed the order on the phone. I called the shop and was just advised the person who took my call didn't think to ask and "that's how it comes". We will be taking our custom to Golden City in the future.”

“I ordered King Shrimp Noodle, but what I received was a noodle with pork and small shrimp. I called back asking if I could change it. The response from the restaurant was "No." She gave a reason that he didn't hear, even though he had reviewed the menu and I had before ordering. Over the years, I've loved the food here. Every time I order food here, I've never disappointed me, but this time I felt terrible. I threw all the food in the trash can and told myself I would never go back there again.”

“So after visiting here for years since the original owner had it. I ordered a salt and pepper box. However tasted like I was eating sugary donoughts. Phoned to explain got abuse I said ill bring it back for her to taste as she was calling me a liar. I thought she would of just cooked me a fresh 1 without all the sugar and actually taste of salt and pepper. However she came out like a bat out of hell with a attitude. Chucked the money on the counter amd walked off. I'd of gave minus stars for her attitude alone never mind the minging food!!”
