  “A big thank you to the Blue Ginger team A huge thank you to the whole Blue Ginger team for looking after my parents and their elderly friendship group so well. They have been coming to Blue Ginger for many, many years, and there is a reason they keep returning. The food is consistently excellent, the quality is always good, and the private dining room is perfect for a group like this. The food all arrived hot and freshly prepared and special requests like no onion no garlic we’re also catered for with great efficiency and speed A special thank you to Jeet, who was amazingly attentive and supportive throughout. Thank you also to Chirag and Sachin for managing everything so well, and again especially to Jeet, who was one of the loveliest and most attentive waiters I have met in a very long time. He was kind, patient and genuinely caring. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him. Although the group booking had been arranged some time ago, we needed to make some last-minute changes because of the age and needs of the diners. The Blue Ginger team were incredibly flexible and worked hard to accommodate our requests. I really appreciated how understanding, agile and responsive they were. It is lovely to know that a restaurant we have been coming to for years still provides such consistently good food and, just as importantly, such warm and caring service. Highly recommended. We will definitely continue coming back to Blue Ginger. ❤️”

  “⭐ 1 star is GENEROUS! Absolutely appalling customer service from Blue Ginger in Kenton. I have been going there for years, but after this experience, I will be taking my custom elsewhere. We ordered directly through their website because we assumed ordering this way would make things easier and quicker. Instead, the whole process was unnecessarily long, and we then found out they use Uber for their deliveries. The Uber delivery was apparently 7 minutes away when it was suddenly cancelled, with absolutely no explanation. We had already paid for the food and, quite simply, had received nothing. I called the restaurant to try and resolve the situation. The staff member I spoke to was incredibly rude and kept telling me that I needed to contact Uber for my refund. We went round in circles, despite the fact that I was simply trying to get an explanation and resolve an issue with an order placed through their website. I then asked to speak to the manager, expecting that someone in a managerial position might actually understand basic customer service. Unfortunately, he was no better. There was no genuine apology, no attempt to take ownership of the situation and, frankly, a complete lack of understanding of what the actual issue was. He repeatedly kept talking about “trust”, despite me never raising trust as an issue. However, they also claimed that they do not charge for delivery, yet I was charged twice for it. So, in this case, perhaps trust is relevant after all — because based on my experience, they cannot be trusted to charge customers correctly. The issue was very straightforward: I paid for food, the food was never delivered, the delivery was cancelled without explanation, and I was charged twice for delivery despite being told delivery was free. Apparently, their solution was that the best they could do was issue a refund. A refund is not some generous gesture — it is the absolute minimum you would expect when a customer has paid for something and received nothing. They then suggested I come and collect the food myself. I explained that I had specifically ordered delivery because I don’t have a car. That apparently made no difference. And to make matters even worse, the phone call was eventually ended by them hanging up on me. I have genuinely never experienced customer service like this from a business I had supported for years. What makes this experience particularly frustrating is that the problem could have been handled so easily with a simple apology, an explanation and a genuine attempt to help. Instead, both the staff member and manager were defensive, dismissive and completely lacking in basic customer service. Customer service matters, and unfortunately Blue Ginger failed spectacularly on that front. After years of supporting this business, I certainly won’t be ordering again.”

  “Had an absolute amazing experience today at Blue ginger. The starters were good.. Loved the Sesame honey lotus root.. Tue mocktails were good...virgin colada.. Ans my absolute favorite was Thai veg curry..it had an authentic Thai taste.. Very delicious...”

  “Went here for a family meal, food was excellent, drink selection is also great! Atmosphere also great! Food was quick and hot, great taste. Only issue was the Service was slow by the waiters, had to wait for them to come over to take our order, also try to get their attention took ages! Overall it was a great experience.”

  “I recently visited Blue Ginger and had a great experience overall. The food was full of flavour, and you can really tell there’s attention to detail in every dish. The highlight for me was definitely the chilli garlic naan - it was absolutely amazing. Perfectly cooked, with just the right balance of heat and garlic, it complemented everything else beautifully. Overall, a really enjoyable meal, and I’d definitely recommend giving it a try.”

  “I have been ordering food from here for the last 20 years, around 15–20 times every year, which is why I am very disappointed with the way I was treated recently. Many staff members have been working there for years, but instead of listening to customer feedback, they spoke very rudely. I was told things like, “If you don’t like the food, don’t order from us,” and “We have 100,000 customers, losing one customer will not make any difference.” As a long-time loyal customer, this attitude was very upsetting. I rarely complain, but there have been repeated issues with my orders. Out of the last 6 orders, 3 times onions were added even after I clearly requested no onions. On one occasion, my order was mixed up with another customer’s order, and I was left waiting while they gave me food that had already gone out of the restaurant. Even then, I did not complain. This time, when I raised concerns, I was told that I am “always complaining,” even though I have supported this restaurant for many years. Offering free food is appreciated, but accepting mistakes and improving customer service is more important. The latest issue was with the Paneer Tikka Gravy. The gravy was extremely runny, more like dal or soup. We could tell before even opening the container that the consistency was completely wrong. As a loyal customer of over 20 years, I expected better food quality and much more respect from the staff.”

  “I hosted my MILs surprise party here in the private room on 21/03 and the entire experience was fantastic. The logistics were very straightforward, everything was clearly explained and confirmed in advance via WhatsApp, which made the planning process stress-free. On the day, everything ran smoothly. The private room was clean, beautifully set up, and it was great to have our own space without any outside interruptions. It made the celebration feel even more special. The food was excellent, and a special thank you to Jeet and Sudhi, who were both outstanding. They were attentive, friendly, and handled all our requests effortlessly, even at a busy pace. They were a pleasure to speak with and always had a smile on their faces. A big thank you to them and the whole team - we had such a wonderful time. The food was amazing, and good value for money and we’ll definitely be back! I definitely recommend the private room for big occasions.”

  “I recently visited Blue Ginger on Kenton Road, and overall, it turned out to be a really enjoyable dining experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The ambience is thoughtfully designed, creating a comfortable setting that works well for both casual meals and slightly more special occasions. Soft lighting, tasteful décor, and a pleasant buzz in the background all contributed to a welcoming environment. The food was good, flavorful, and nicely presented, with each dish showing attention to detail. The spices were well-balanced, and the dishes arrived at the table fresh and hot. One area that could be improved is the portion size; some items felt a bit smaller than expected, which is the main reason I’m giving the restaurant 4 stars instead of a full 5. Their bar is impressive, offering a wide range of drink options, from classic cocktails to unique blends and a solid selection of wines and spirits. It’s a great place to unwind with a drink before or after your meal. The service was also good, with staff who were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Another huge convenience is the free parking, which makes the visit even smoother, especially in a busy area like Kenton Road. Overall, Blue Ginger is a solid dining choice, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for tasty food, a great ambience, and reliable service.”

  “Used to go to Blue Ginger long time ago 15 years ago and it's still the same great taste. Service was quick but could feel that they were stretched. Food presentation and taste is really good. Enjoyed all dishes especially Crispy Okra and crispy mushrooms. Definitely going there again for another family occasion. Prices were a bit high.”
