“I’ve had salt and pepper chicken from a lot of places, but this one completely changed the game. From the second the box opened, the smell alone told me this was going to be special — that irresistible mix of garlic, chilli, and sizzling seasoning hit instantly. The chicken itself was cooked perfectly. Each piece was golden and crispy on the outside, but unbelievably tender and juicy inside. Not dry, not chewy — just perfectly cooked. The coating was light and crunchy, not overly thick or greasy, which meant you could actually taste the seasoning properly. And the seasoning… this is where it really stood out. AMAZING. It was one of those dishes where you tell yourself you’ll save some for later… but you end up finishing the entire thing without even realising. Every piece felt like the best one. Honestly, this wasn’t just good salt and pepper chicken — this was the best I’ve ever had. The kind that makes you judge every other place afterwards. “It’s a shame that I won’t be returning to Wok Delight, as my recent experience was far from delightful. On previous visits the food has been reasonably fresh and acceptable. However, today the food was certainly not fresh and appeared to have been reheated. The fried rice was very dark brown, clumped together, and both the chicken in my curry and my partner’s salt and pepper chicken did not taste fresh at all. In fact, it’s the first time I have ever left most of the chicken uneaten. After placing my order, the food was ready within just a few minutes. I even commented to the staff member serving me, “Wow, that was quick.” When I later phoned to raise my concerns and explained that the speed of service suggested the food may have been reheated, the same staff member insisted it takes at least four minutes to cook in the wok. I advised that this issue should be raised with the kitchen, as the food quality on this occasion was very disappointing.”
