Customer Review Summary
Diners single out the food as the main draw, with burgers, lamb, fish and chips, seabass, and homemade cheesecake drawing particular praise, alongside generous portions and warm, attentive service from the team. A few Sunday lunch visits, however, left reviewers disappointed: the lamb arrived barely warm, vegetables were sparse, and one diner noticed an extra pint added to the bill. Most return enthusiastically.

“A group of 12 of us visited to celebrate a birthday, and from start to finish, everything was absolutely fantastic! 🎉 From the very first phone call to book the table, to arranging our pre-order the day before and then being looked after on the evening, the whole experience was brilliant. Chris was so friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and the service was quick and attentive. Fion also looked after us and brought out our food, which was absolutely amazing! The portions were really generous, and I can definitely recommend the lamb, fish & chips and burgers 🤌🏼 Everything was delicious, and the desserts were fantastic too! A huge shout-out to the chefs — they did a fabulous job! 👏🏼 To top it all off, Chris and Fion even sang Happy Birthday when they brought the cake out, which was such a lovely touch. 🎂❤️ We all had a fantastic evening and would definitely return and highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Myself and my partner recently moved into the area and thought we’d try out the Queens head for dinner. Food was absolutely superb, I had the Burger and my partner had the steak and Ale pie of the day. Both meals were a good size and tasted brilliant. We were served by Chris and Ffion who were attentive and delivered great service. We will be back again soon”

“Went for Sunday Lunch with a friend and was very disappointed. We both had the lamb which was barely warm and only one carrot was served with the veg for 2. We did mention it when the still, very full plates with none of the lamb eaten were collected but was told "I will tell the kitchen" and the full bill was presented which we paid. I have to be fair and say that we have eaten here previously on a few occasions and the food is usually on point but this time it was not to be. An expensive visit to have to go home and make a sandwich.”

“Our first Sunday roast for some time.....food was average and, we thought, quite expensive......servers attentive and efficient. When it came to pay the bill we spotted a 'rogue' pint of Guinness which was promptly deleted but what we didn't spot was an extra pint of cider. A simple error or something else??”
