Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often praise the food, with Peshwari naan singled out even in a critical review, alongside the Tandoori Mix Grill, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Korma, butter chicken and chicken pakoras. Close behind are friendly, prompt staff who take time to chat, and delivery described as efficient and hot. The complaints are specific. One diner found the Madras and Chicken Tikka Dansak thin, tasting like tomato soup, with a watered-down mango chutney. Another called the chicken dry and the naan undercooked, and says staff offered no recourse when they phoned. A third found the lamb in the Poriyal a little hard and some ladies fingers not tender, and a takeaway customer felt the quality did not match the price, citing the poppadum. Groups come off well. One reviewer booked a table for a large birthday party and felt everyone was accommodated, and at a birthday dinner for ten the staff took photos of the evening on request.

“We recently placed a large order of around £110 for a family meal, including food for my partner’s parents, so we were really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, there were a few disappointments. The mango chutney was very watered down, which ruined my meal. The Madras lacked the spice and depth of flavour I would normally expect and was quite thin in consistency. The Chicken Tikka Dansak was also disappointing, as it was very thin and tasted more like tomato soup than a rich, flavourful dansak The chicken tikka was also just plain tomato soup costing the best part of £12 each for a portion it was quite upsetting That said, there were some positives. The chicken in all of the dishes where juicy pieces and cooked very well. The Peshwari naans were full with filling and tasty My mother-in-law also enjoyed her korma. Overall, the quality of the chicken and naans was very good, but the curries themselves lacked the flavour, spice, and richness we were hoping for, especially considering the size and cost of the order we won’t be returning sadly.”

“We got a takeaway and the food was delivered hot. That was as good as it got. The taste and quality does not match the price point. £1.20 for 1 papadum is daylight robbery!!”
