  “Curry had almost no sauce. I ordered and paid extra for chicken tikka, but just got standard chicken. It was obvious that the main was just a little sauce with raw onions and green peppers added. They were not cooked or softened. The chicken Pakora was cold. All in all a poor experience.”

  “Had a meal here last night and it was delicious 😋 a lovely selection of starters, 5 Main meals - Kerala Chicken, South Indian Garlic Chicken, Chicken Bhoona, Chicken Chasni & a Rogan Josh, Rice & beautiful Garlic nan bread thin & crispy just the way we like it. Couldn't fault anything nice ambience very friendly staff, lovely food and hot plates and hot serving dishes are a lovely touch and really good value for money on the pre theatre menu. Kate our server was professional, friendly and attentive without being overbearing as happens in some places. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back.”

  “Ok… prepare to pay £1.00 for the plastic container you take your uneaten food home in.. each dish ! Apparently a relatively new addition. Also the dish with spinach looked uncomfortable like a … well I cannot actually say .. but proved to be visually incompatible with ingestion. If one has a dish called Jalfezzi it ought truly to be 75% chicken with 25% peppers not the other way about. Staff were charming.”

  “I ordered through Deliveroo today, and my food was over an hour 45 late. When we called the restaurant, we were told the order had been ready for some time, but they delay sending deliveries out so they can dispatch multiple orders at once. By the time our food arrived, it was cold. Really disappointing experience so I won’t be ordering again. I should have just gone to Classic India instead.”

  “Take away from Ashoka Bearsden. Ordered before pick up and still had to wait 1/2 hour and there were only 2 tables with customers. Also had to wait 10 mins before anyone acknowledged that I was waiting. But the main gripe is the amount of curry. Half a portion? Come on Ashoka, you can do better than this or is this a sign of things to come, portion size wise. Shrinkflation.”
