About Cliff Top Cafe
Cliff Top Cafe is a seaside cafe on Cobbold Rd in Felixstowe, set right on the sea front with views over the beach, gardens and coast. The kitchen prepares its food on the premises, and the 17-dish menu runs from the Cliff Top Breakfast and a Vegetarian Breakfast to fish and chips at lunch. Cakes are on display, with gluten free options among them, and scones are also on offer. Dogs are welcome inside, so owners can bring their pets in as long as they are well behaved or kept on a lead. Art hangs on the walls and is for sale. A queue forms at the counter when the cafe is busy.

Customer Review Summary
Breakfast is what reviewers return to most, with smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and a fried breakfast named alongside the seaside setting, and one calls it about the best available in Felixstowe. Close behind are the cakes on display, with lovely teas and coffees, and fish and chips at lunch, called particularly tasty. One reviewer praises a honeyed parsnip soup and a bacon and brie toastie, and another a gluten and dairy free bacon sandwich, with gluten free cakes noted. Outdoor seating with sea views and a welcome for dogs come up repeatedly, and dog walkers fill the inside on a grey morning. The complaints are about crowding. One reviewer found the cafe squished, with loud music turned up when busy, another mentions a noisy group inside, and a third queued a long while for the only toilet. One breakfast was quoted at around 50 minutes at a busy time, though that diner found the food lovely. Very large pots of tea, one pot said to be enough for four, are mentioned as a closing detail.

“Sat outside at first but moved inside to eat as a bit breezy. Food was delicious, good service. Inside was a bit noisy, loud speaking group of women unfortunately.”

“Lovely visit today. Food was lovely and was good to see a fair few gluten free options on the cakes and that I could have a very nice gluten and dairy free bacon sandwich. Thank you”

“Great little cafe right on the sea front. Excellent staff. The cakes are lovely and fresh, nice coffee. The portions where good. Nice to see its busy even on a grey, chilly autumn morning. Loads of dog walkers with there dogs inside. And all of us and our dogs made to feel welcome. Highly recommend this place, and will be visiting it again if we are in the area.”
