Customer Review Summary
Weddings in the barn draw the warmest praise, with couples describing a team that answered planning questions quickly, set up table centres as asked, and kept glasses topped up and iced water on the tables. Close behind is the Sunday roast, where diners single out the roast pork belly with its crunchy crackling, the sticky toffee pudding with a pot of tea, and cauliflower cheese as a worthwhile extra. Others name the chicken schnitzel, a calamari starter, well kept Fullers beer and Peach Jubel on draft. Servers and bar staff are repeatedly called friendly and attentive, and the outdoor seating, sunset views and roaring winter fire get mentions too. The criticism is limited but specific. One roast diner found the wait for food slightly long, though the server apologised, and one quiz night regular on a quiet bank holiday Monday was refused a coffee because there was no milk. One wedding couple recalls the team storing their leftover cake in the fridge after it had started melting on a hot day.

“We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better venue or a better team for our wedding day at Cam’s Mill. From the very beginning, Luke organised our wedding, was absolutely amazing. He was so helpful, professional and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and having someone so attentive and reassuring made the whole planning process so much easier. On the wedding day itself, Luke and his whole team were fantastic. They were friendly, attentive and worked so hard behind the scenes to make sure everything ran smoothly. We were able to relax and enjoy every second knowing that everything was being taken care of. The venue looked beautiful and provided the perfect setting for our special day. We received so many lovely comments from our guests about how wonderful the venue was and how brilliant the staff were. A huge thank you to Luke and the entire Cam’s Mill team for helping make our wedding day so special. We will always look back on our day with the happiest memories, and we couldn’t recommend Cam’s Mill highly enough. ❤️”

“We attend quiz night once a month. Pub was empty ( bank Holiday Monday) apart from quizzers. I wanted a coffee but was told sorry as have no milk. Come 9.40 the whole of the pub apart from quizzers was empty. Such a shame as the pub has great character and potential.”
