Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often praise the pizza, especially a slice eaten outdoors with a view over the beach. A visitor from the US calls the Detroit style pizza as good as or better than most back home, singling out the honey pepperoni combo and the crust. Another describes slice dough that was soft inside with just the right crisp and fresh toppings. Staff are called friendly and helpful by a couple of reviewers. The recurring complaint is the wait. A few say food took longer than advised, and one noticed pizzas ordered later coming out first. Cleanliness draws criticism too, with dirty seating, uncleared tables and rubbish reported, and one reviewer felt staff were more focused on dancing and singing. Delivery fared worst for one customer, who received a stone cold pizza and hard, undercooked chips with plain cheese instead of truffle. Another found a pizza thin enough to see through and oval rather than round, and a third thought the ricotta on a huge pizza was comically sparse. One group's beach litter-pick ended with the children being handed pizza slices.

“The food is ok, but be prepared to wait for a while. Somehow, some orders also seemed to be prioritised - full-size pizzas ordered by people after us were ready around 10 minutes before ours… There are plenty of serving staff, but unfortunately the girls seem more focused on dancing and singing than keeping the restaurant clean. Tables and areas around the restaurant weren’t being wiped or cleared, and there was rubbish everywhere, which was a shame and really took away from the overall experience.”

“Visiting from the US, and I assure you the Detroit style pizza here is as good, or better, than most Detroit style pies you will find in the states. The honey Pepperoni combo is absolutely delicious, and the Detroit style crust was cooked to perfection.”

“The pizza here is pretty nice, I ended up paying £16 for a 14” pepperoni pizza, didn’t think the price was great but it also wasn’t too bad. The staff are very friendly but I did find the food takes a while, I waited 30 minutes for gm pizza which surprised me considering it was a Tuesday evening, around 9pm. The seating provided by the restaurant is quite dirty and I don’t think it gets cleaned throughout the day. Other than that, it is a nice little place and I would revisit”

“Lovely spot for a delicious slice of pizza. Mainly outdoor seating with a view over the beach”

“We brought two groups down to litter pick the beach at short notice (please book in advance on the Facebook page!) and the staff were so helpful. The children got pizza slices in return for their hard work and they haven't stopped talking about it! Massive thank you to Emma and the team for providing such a wonderful activity for our community.”
