Customer Review Summary
Poached eggs on sourdough and pesto eggs, two fried eggs on mozzarella and pesto over toasted bread, anchor the praise at this cafe inside Sterling Home, and reviewers call the food good, tasty and good value. Close behind are a bacon, brie and cranberry panini, a BLT roll, mushroom soup and a latte, while the baking draws praise. Staff are described as friendly and helpful, though one reviewer finds it a bit noisy. The recurring complaint is running out: one diner was told there were no sausages on a Saturday morning, another changed a lunch order only to learn the replacement had also run out, and one reviewer advises going early because popular items sell out. Lunch gets weaker marks, with baked potatoes called dry, cheese added in a way that does not let it melt, lettuce that wasn't very fresh and coronation chicken described as curry powder chicken. Others report slow service, dirty tables, shabby furniture and mismatched cutlery, and one family left after a lone staff member warned of a long delay. One breakfast roll arrived with butter portions tucked inside.

“Bacon, Brie and cranberry panini was delicious. Never realized I'd fancy a hot ham and jelly! New level unlocked- I'll be experimenting with my own now. Mushroom soup was yummy. Latte hit the spot 👍🏴”

“Really good food but go early as they sell out of the most popular items! Staff very helpful but it can be a bit noisy. Still worth a visit.”

“Friendly efficient staff. Food was good, just what you would expect nothing too elaborate but good value for money.”

“The young staff need a little bit of training on customer service. Service was slow. We waited 2 weeks to get our breakfast. They also informed us no sausages. Considering it was Saturday. Bad planning to run out on a Saturday morning at 10am. Was offered Lorne instead. Breakfast arrived like I said 2 weeks later. I asked for a roll. Which I got. Opening it I found butter portions on the inside. Maybe not the best place to put them. The breakfast was actually ok. But I’d not go back. It took way too long. Tables were dirty. Furniture shabby. Forks and knives mismatch. Had to ask for them as they aren’t near the service area. Plus the girls never mentioned anything about where to find them.”
