About Corro's

Coffee leads the counter at Corro's, a cafe and sandwich shop on Green St in Eastbourne. The kitchen turns out bacon rolls alongside sandwiches built with a range of fillings, including versions made on sourdough, and a selection of cakes and other treats sits ready for anyone stopping in for something sweet with a drink. Service runs on a walk-in basis, so there is no need to book a table. Tables outside give customers the option of eating and drinking in the open air when the weather suits, and seating indoors covers colder days. The doors open Tuesday to Saturday during the daytime, with Mondays and Sundays closed. A step-free entrance means visitors with mobility needs can get in and out without steps to manage.

Customer Review Summary

Coffee is the constant, called the best for miles around by more than one regular, with the iced coffee and the hot chocolates drawing their own praise. Close behind come the bacon rolls and sandwiches, and one reviewer specifically recommends the pastrami with gherkins, cheese and spinach on sourdough. The baking gets named again and again, from the polenta cake and the flapjack to almond croissants that one visitor's husband rates the best for miles. Several describe the staff as friendly and welcoming, including a reviewer whose son has autism and another who says the team helped an aunt with dementia feel comfortable. Some sit outside in warm weather, and one suggests doing exactly that when it is hot. Against this, one reviewer describes being refused entry with a small dog and found the response at the counter rude, also arguing the shop charges more than another local place for comparable stock. Others return for a team that knows a regular's usual order by heart.

We have eaten there two other occasions sitting outside. But as the weather is changing, we asked if we could bring the dog in as she is a small lap dog 🐕 and a very rude demeour with a attatude at the back of the counter said no dogs bring Allergies in to the coffee shop then said there is plenty of others places you can go with an attatude like that I'm surprised the Coffee shops is still in Business absolutely appalling the deli coffee shop closed, and that was a shame as the staff there were so helpful and always were happy to have dogs in the coffee shop and very welcoming and really always pleasant, corros get the same stuff from Poppy sead, but charge double the price? so if you're a dog person, avoid this none friendly coffee shop Not recommended and the lady Staff member's attitude is some what to desired awful!!
  • Paul Ashman
Probably the best coffee shop in the world! Long time customer who enjoys the welcoming friendly service, great coffee, cakes and even better bacon rolls. Nice light and relaxed atmosphere to the shop. Could not recommend more highly.

Lisa and the team are super friendly, polite and helpful. Coffee is the best for miles around (as are their bacon sandwiches!). Thoroughly recommend.

Sit outside if it's hot. Sit inside of it's cold. Really nice coffee, great cakes and friendly staff. My husband says they have the best almond croissants for miles.

How this listing is sourced

Where the data comes from
Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
How it stays current
Listings are re-checked in batches against their public profile, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
How it is ranked
Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
