  “This is possibly my favourite food place in Durham. The amount of choice and friendliness of staff contributes to my addiction of spicy food. I am so in love with this place that I'm constantly asking my friends if they feel like a malatang and even my vegetarian friends enjoy it here. It's always quiet which is a plus for me and they always have my favourites stocked up. I 100% getting chinese leaf if you haven't tried it before, imo it's my favourite vegetable. The people at the counter are always friendly and greet you as you walk in, helping people who are unsure about how malatang works. I <3 malatang.”

  “Delicious DIY malatang spot where you pick your own ingredients by weight. There are lots of soup bases to choose from, but I always go for the tom yum — rich, flavorful, and so good! The service is excellent, and the staff are super friendly. Highly recommended!”

  “⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ The food here is really good and affordable! I got a generous portion of meat and fish balls (with zero noodles) for around £16. The owner (I guess), who handles the cashier and refills the food, is super nice and welcoming. I also love that they have a sauce bar where you can mix your own sauce. However, I found the chili sauce not spicy at all. It would be even better if they added lime to the bar as well, as it would make the flavors more complete—especially for those who enjoy Asian-style sauces.”
