About PO Wah
PO Wah is a Chinese takeaway in Dundee, at 3 Mauchline Ave, run by its owners. Orders are taken by phone, and the call goes directly to the owners instead of through a third-party app such as Just Eat or Uber Eats. Callers deal with the owners themselves, so no platform or app sits between the customer and the kitchen. The food is Chinese, and a phone call to the owners is all it takes to place an order.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise quick service and hot food at a decent price, with several describing fast delivery and meals that arrive nice and hot. The curries draw particular mention, described as really spicy with plentiful chicken and beef and good sized portions, while another diner singles out the chips. Good meal deals come up, and a longtime family customer says the owners give great service on phone orders. One reviewer values phoning in and telling a person exactly what they want, rather than ordering through delivery apps. The complaints are specific. One regular reports a delivery wait of over an hour and a half, with the food arriving just warm. Another found the beef chow mein really dry, with a tonne of salt as the only real flavour. A third says an early dinner tasted like reheated food from the day before. One returning diner, who had feared standards had slipped, found it back to its brilliant best and wondered whether it is the only Chinese takeaway still using foil dishes.

“After months of sitting looking at menus and ordering food for no options to add mushrooms for example? Finally found a Chinese takeaway that isn't controlled by just eat, Uber eats etc! Ordered last night, service was quick and the food was excellent. Just restored my faith in takeaway food. 😁 It was great to talk to a human and tell them exactly what I wanted ❤️”
