About Astley Arms
The Astley Arms is a pub on Chapel St in Dukinfield, with a 72-dish menu and an upstairs function space that hosts weddings and funeral wakes, so it serves groups gathering for family occasions. The kitchen cooks Halloumi Fries, Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings and a cheese and onion pie, with chips made fresh. Sunday roast dinners let diners swap the potatoes and Yorkshire pudding for extra vegetables. Most meals come with veg or salad sides, and seasonal veg can be added as an extra. Desserts are part of the menu too. Drinks are brought to the table, and dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the food, and homemade chips come up repeatedly, described as big, chunky and fluffy, and cooked fresh. The salt and pepper chicken wings, the cheese and onion pie, gammon, scampi and fish and chips also get named, with large portions served hot. Sunday roast earns praise too, including one diner who could swap the potatoes and Yorkshire pudding for extra vegetables without any fuss. Desserts such as the chocolate brownie and sticky toffee pudding are called incredible. Staff are described as friendly, welcoming and helpful, and one family describes a funeral wake handled patiently, with freshly made sandwiches and hot chips. The one caveat is a slow kitchen on a day when a wedding was upstairs, though diners were told about the wait after ordering. Several mention the outdoor seating at the back, and one closes by noting drinks were brought straight to the table.

“Just looking for somewhere for lunch after visiting the Registry Office and only a couple of minutes away. Nice welcome, choice of seats and drinks brought to the table. Seemed a standard pub menu until the food turned up. Homemade chips, God these were good. Both gammon and cheese & onion pie excellent. Definitely recommend, shame we don't live in the area.”

“Highly recommend! The staff are amazing and make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The salt and pepper chicken wings are the best I’ve ever had—packed with flavour and cooked to perfection. If you’re visiting on a Sunday, the roast dinners are an absolute must. And whatever you do, don’t leave without trying one of the desserts. The chocolate brownie and the sticky toffee pudding are both incredible and the perfect way to finish off a fantastic meal. I’ll definitely be back!”

“Absolutely beautiful food , we went on Sunday & I was so happy with being able to tweak the Sunday dinner,,, i always remove potatoes & yorkshire pudding & add more vegetables. Some places this isn't possible,, here it was no trouble & staff were amazing. We've been again so the hubby can see the normal menu ,, again everything was amazing . Highly recommended 💕”
