Customer Review Summary
Diners single out the Sunday roast as the standout draw, with one sit-in visit calling it worth returning for and takeaway fans praising the freshness. Burgers and chips also draw consistent mention, and reviewers describe the bar staff as friendly and the atmosphere lively for football. A few note slow service and feeling rushed past drinkers, though most call the food good value. Several recommend sitting in over ordering ahead.

“Came in yesterday for Sunday Dinner, it was amazing, I have had quite a few take out dinners before but we sat in and it was 100% better. I finished it as I was enjoying it that much but was stuffed. Definitely be back sitting in and highly recommend, for quality and quantity.”

“Surprising quality! Best burger and chips we’ve had in a while. Service was prompt and the beers were great. Fantastic atmosphere for watching the football with a lively crowd. Highly recommend!”

“Just popped in with family for a drink after having a meal in Stalybridge. Love that the Rifleman lives on and the original full name has been kept. Used to visit the original pub. My husband's uncle used to manage the original many years ago and his Dad also worked there so it was also a bit of a nostalgia trip!! A little quiet for a Saturday but we were quite early. Nice atmosphere, friendly bar staff.”
