  “I would give 0 stars if I could! Ordered at 19:04 for delivery at 19:50. It was delayed, and when I called at 20:05 I was told it hadn’t even left. I was then hung up on. I called back, explained I had somewhere to be, and later got a call saying they couldn’t find my new build address. I offered to guide the driver or meet them outside as totally get it! By 20:50, still nothing. I was told the driver was “on the road but lost” and asked them to pass on my number. No call ever came. Then my order was cancelled despite supposedly being on my road!! When I called the shop, Five Star Fish Bar, they said the driver couldn’t find me and didn’t want to call as he couldn’t speak English. They then hung up on me again and stopped answering! Waited 1 hour 40 minutes for food that never arrived, left the house late and starving! Shocking service and completely unacceptable. Awful place and awful people.”

  “Told uncle there was a hair on the food on display and he denied it even after I showed him and then when his worker came too I showed him as well and he literally just took it off and put the scallop back in 🤮🤢 disgusting guy”

  “3rd time we have been disappointed with our food lately. Large fish and chips last saturday was shocking. Large fishfingeris what we got, batter brown and hard and thin fish. Thrown away. ....again.Won't be going back”

  “Fantastic Fish and Chips. Always top quality, cooked to perfection. Friendly service. Great value compared to some other takeaways. Been here on dozens of occasions and never had a bad experience. Absolutely would recommend.”

  “This was the first time I used this place and it will be my last. Only eat from here if you like eating grease food. I know a chippy is grease food but when I got my kebab (I can handle hot and spicy food but this was not kebab meat way to spicy) in a pitta bread home it was that grease it slipped off the paper and onto the plate by itself and the bread was uneatable because it was dripping. I wish I'd taken photos of it now so you could see I was so made I just had a few chips and put the rest in the bin”

  “Went here for the first time last night, loved it. My girlfriend and I just moved to the area so this is our first chippy that we've been to, but I doubt we'll be looking elsewhere any time soon. While it wasn't seaside quality, it ticked all the right boxes and was ludicrously cheap for what we got. We both got a small fish and chips for £3.50 each and drinks, and we've spent upwards of £15 in other places for a similar amount of food with very little gain in quality. Haven't tried the kebabs yet, but we're looking forward to it.”
