Customer Review Summary

Breakfast is what reviewers return to most, with several calling it delicious or well cooked, alongside coffee, tea and milkshakes. One reviewer notes the coffee arrived hot, and another praises the milkshakes. The lakeside spot gets repeated mention, with diners enjoying a window seat overlooking the lakes and ducks, and walkers stopping in after circling the ponds. Staff are described again and again as friendly and helpful, one even handing a child some lollies, and reviewers call the place clean, with good value for the food. One reviewer was glad to find a dog-friendly cafe, and another says it improved after the refurb. The criticism is specific. One reviewer found the roast lamb closer to mutton, with flavourless veg, though the roast potatoes, gravy and Yorkshire puddings were nice. Another, a regular for weeks, was served a cheese and bacon jacket potato with mozzarella instead of the usual cheddar, says the server claimed it had always been that way, and took a refund.

“We went in for the same thing for weeks a jacket potato with cheese and bacon £8.50 loved it and kept us coming back, then one day we had the same to be served with mozzarella cheese and awful when I asked why the sever said we have always done it? A lie it’s always been cheddar and I got a refund I can’t eat mozzarella, if he had said we ran out of cheddar fine but he didn’t and I took my money back, why lie when we had been in sometimes twice a week, you lost 4 customers because of a lie and I will now not go in the park cafe either same food nothing is new !!”

“Wonderful wee place. Just 3 minutes from the boring motorway services you have this beautiful Oasis. Cafe is wonderful Staff are lovely. They work hard, quickly, quietly, efficiently Food is great value for money. Very tasty. Lovely presentation. And, a great price too, very good value for money. A real gem of a cafe, we found by accident, but I'll now be a regular every time I pass on the motorway. Thank you for a great meal and experience 👍👍”
