Customer Review Summary

Bacon sandwiches draw the most praise at Deja Vu, with one reviewer calling theirs the best ever and another pairing a sausage and bacon sandwich with coffee they rate as the best in a while. Close behind are the breakfasts, described as extremely filling, along with omelettes, a roast pork sandwich, a croque monsieur, and toasted sandwiches on thick cut bread with generous fillings. Reviewers also mention a ginger bread latte, a cappuccino and a fruit scone, and several single out the themed evening meals, including an Indian night. Staff come across as friendly and welcoming, and a sign on the wall reads that they do great food as fast as they can. The main caveat is speed and consistency: one reviewer waited half an hour for two bacon sandwiches, then found the bacon cold, the bread hard and the egg burst and overcooked. The waitress remarked that it was only the edge of the egg, and although a replacement was offered, the diner took a refund. Another notes the cafe is packed and a little cramped for seating, and that the kitchen advised them of a wait before ordering.

“A really nice cafe. Really friendly and helpful staff. I ordered sausage and bacon sandwich with a coffee. The sandwich tasted amazing and it's probably the best coffee I've had in a while and it only cost £5.75. Highly recommend deja vu coffe house.”

“My daughter and I popped in on 7th January for a drink and sandwich. We order 2 bacon sandwiches one well one one with egg. Waited half an hour and when the bacon and egg one arrived it was inedible. Bread was hard, bacon cold and the egg well it was burst overcooked and brown and crispy absolutely awful. Waitress said well it's only edge of the egg!! Took it away did offer to replace it but we didn't want to wait n put us off. Yes got our money back but definitely a very bad experience.”

“Only called in for a quick bite and drink. Absolutely packed out. Managed to get seated as a table became available. Quite an extensive menu that's reasonably priced. We opted for the classic cheese and tomato toasted sandwich with a Ginger bread latte, a toasted Italiano sandwich with a Cappuccino. Drinks were served promptly and we had about a 20 minute wait for food, which were advised about before ordering. Both sandwiches were made with thick cut bread and generous fillings. Very nice indeed. Very conscientious service. Bill totalled £23.40.”
