Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the vegan menu, naming the vegan chilli beef and vegan sweet and sour chicken, with one calling it the best vegan food in East Kent and another noting the range of vegan and gluten free options. Close behind are the chicken balls, General Tso's chicken, salt and pepper spicy "prawns" and a dim sum sharing platter, with generous portions and friendly staff mentioned repeatedly. Several describe a lovely dining room and a quick takeaway. The criticism is sharper but less common. One reviewer found the crispy chilli beef and chicken soggy and chewy, as if left sitting, and said a friend felt standards had slipped. Another called the egg noodles bland, unseasoned and small in portion. One reviewer reports that they and their partner were sick before leaving the building and questions the hygiene. Another visitor was surprised by a free glass of prosecco.

“Amazing food and great service! Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the chicken balls. The staff were super friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. Highly recommend this place and we'll definitely come back!”

“Really disappointed was visiting deal and heard good things but should have paid attention to reviews as possibly the blandest Chinese food Iv had , even in America with its fakeness it’s better. Small portion sizes and even things like simple egg noodles don’t taste fresh lacking seasoning or garnish , not even bean sprouts on the one I wanted it with :( What a shame can’t recommend sadly.”

“Not sure how this is a 4.2. Yesterday’s takeaway was one of the nicest we have had in ages. Everything was good. Front of house staff were lovely. Service was quick. Amazing range of vegan and gluten free options if that’s your thing. Can’t wait try again.”

“Absolutely awful experience. The food was so bad that both me and my partner ended up throwing up before we even left the building. Everything tasted off, greasy, and clearly not fresh. The hygiene standards seriously need checking because no meal should make customers physically sick within minutes. Easily the worst Chinese takeaway/restaurant experience we’ve ever had. Avoid at all costs.”
