Customer Review Summary

Reviews split sharply, and chips draw the most complaints: described as mushy, pale, greasy or undercooked. One reviewer found the fish only ok, another objected to the batter and fish quality. Mushy peas were called bland, though the curry sauce was called lovely. Others praise fast, friendly service and delicious food, and one family liked that it was not busy on Good Friday.

“I got fish and chips from golden fisheries and I was physically sick while eating them. The chips were mushy and the fish tasted disgusting, it had a odd smell. Really I should of taken them back, however needless to say I shall never buy fish and chips from them again. 🤮🤮🤮”

“Good enough for a chippy. Bought fish and chips for the family, as its was Good Friday and every other chippy was mobbed with long queues. This one wasn't busy and I liked that.”

“Lovely curry sauce but bland mushy peas, ok fish however a number of chips were undercooked”
  • Michael Landers
“This chippy is always empty while the one on Bartley street almost around the corner is very busy all the time. It's time the guy who owns this chippy changed his batter and the quality of his fish. As that's all that's wrong. But I guess he won't listen to anyone and just carry on trying to now sell kebabs. A sign of failure for a chip shop.”
