“Detoured in off the A1 on the strength of the other ratings as I'd promised F&C for dinner- they're true, literally one of the best chippys my family and I have had in years. Fish was cooked to perfection - still moist and light and flaky with the batter cooked and crispy all the way through, no sogginess prevalent in other chippys we normally go to at home. Same with the chips, well fried, firm, almost crunchy, light and fluffy inside. Needed nothing more than a dusting of salt. Unlikely we'll ever be back in Darlington but if we are and hanker for Fish and Chips we'll be back.”
