  “Food standard is keep on going down. Ordered Chow Chu Calamari and it was tasteless. Other dishes are also not tasted good. Veg biriyani was too salty. This visit was wasted.”

  “We have always passed this restaurant but we only went in for the first time today, and we didn't regret it! Indian food was delicious, probably the best we've had since we moved into Croydon! Parth was attentive and friendly, and made sure we always were happy with everything! We will definitely go again, thanks Imperial Lounge and thanks Parth!”

  “I visited Imperial Restaurant with a colleague, hoping for a decent Indian meal, but we literally just burned our money. The entire experience was appalling from start to finish, culminating in both of us waking up with immense stomach aches the next morning. Here is a breakdown of what went wrong: Chicken Manchow Soup: The chicken in this had a distinct, foul taste, and the broth itself tasted nothing like a proper soup. You can see what we were served in Imperial Appetizer.jpg. Chicken Malai Tikka: Easily the worst I’ve ever tasted. It was incredibly dry, completely devoid of any 'malai' (cream), and lacked basic Indian masalas. You can clearly see how dry it is in the photo Imperial Starter Chicken Malai TIkka.jpg. I reported this to the staff, and while they offered to replace it, we declined to prevent further food wastage. Foster's Beer (Pint): Even the beer was off. It lacked any real taste and had a very strange, off-putting smell. The Main Course & The "Naan": We ordered our main course at the exact same time as our appetizers, yet it still took around 20 minutes to finally arrive at the table. We had ordered Chicken Curry and Garlic Naan. Thank god the Chicken Curry was at least edible, but the Garlic Naan was a complete joke. It wasn't naan at all—it was something completely different (refer to Imperial Main Course Garlic Naan & Chicken Curry.jpg to see this disaster). When I pointed this out to the staff, they dismissively replied, "it's like this only." Please, no one can tell a Delhiite what authentic Naan is supposed to look and taste like. To add insult to injury, despite the terrible food, the delayed service, and the staff's dismissive attitude, they had the audacity to tack on a 10% Service Charge to the bill (which you can verify in Imperial Invoice.jpg). At the very least, as a basic goodwill gesture, they should have waived the service charge or offered something to make up for the ruined meal. It seems they are just riding on their name at this point, because their actual quality is really, really bad in terms of both food and service. Save your money, your time, and your stomach. Avoid this place at all costs. We are paying the price today with severe stomach aches. Never returning.”
