About The Fusion of Spice - #1 Indian Street Food in colchester # HALAL

On 1b Challenge Way in Colchester, The Fusion of Spice is an Indian takeaway serving halal street food for collection and delivery, also listed on Deliveroo under the name Eugreeka. The kitchen covers North and South Indian favourites, with kebabs built around freshly cooked meats and a generous portion of salad. Beyond the curry-house staples, the menu stretches into sizzler plates, pizza slices, souvlaki with steak and chicken, and a range of Indian sweets and desserts. Counter service keeps orders moving efficiently, and the same hands-on approach carries through to delivery across the surrounding streets.

One detailed account describes a steak souvlaki arriving soggy, undercooked, and overpriced, with gristle-heavy meat and a tiny portion, while another reports an order paid for over £50 that was never delivered. Most reviewers, however, describe the food as freshly cooked and flavorful, with kebabs and generously loaded plates singled out as the main draw. Several call the team knowledgeable and the experience pleasant overall.

“Ordering from Deliveroo it would appear this place also goes under the name of Eugreeka. I had the misfortune today to order for lunch with a colleague a steak souvlaki. What arrived was a soggy wet half cooked pita bread with a few bits of lettuce swept off the floor and supposedly souvlaki dressing amounting to half a teaspoon full couple of bits of tomato chopped some soggy microwave chips with bits of I can only imagine paprika on them and approximately six pieces of steak 1 1/2 inches long by an eighth of an inch wide which consisted mostly of pure gristle and what wasn’t gristle had always been cut from the soul of someone’s shoe earlier in the month. It was rank almost inedible and frankly a disgrace and to top it off. I paid £14 for it. My colleague had a chicken one for slightly less which at least contains meat that might have been chicken but was at least chewable. I can’t remember the last time I was so disappointed and disgusted with such a pathetic portion of such poorly prepared poor quality and stupidly overpriced takeaway food. I’ve even added a picture below of the atrocity. Do not recommend. This is not a comment or a review of the fusion of spice. It is a review of Eugreeka that has no internet presence apart from Deliveroo, which list this address as the source of the horror I was served.”

“The overall experience was pleasant, though the menu did not offer many surprises. The service was efficient, and the restaurant itself felt comfortable and inviting.”

“We recently had the pleasure of dining at Fusion Indian Spice Kitchen, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish! This restaurant truly lives up to its name, flawlessly blending traditional Indian flavors with innovative twists that elevate classic dishes to new heights. From the moment you step inside, you're struck by how tidy and inviting the space is. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfectly complementing the delightful culinary journey that awaits. But let's talk about the food – it's simply phenomenal. Every dish we tried was bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors and expertly prepared. The spices are perfectly balanced, offering a rich and aromatic experience without being overwhelming. You can tell that only the highest quality ingredients are used, and the chefs clearly pour their passion into every plate. We genuinely love the food here; it's wonderful in every sense of the word. For anyone looking for an exceptional Indian dining experience that combines fantastic food with a great atmosphere, Fusion Indian Spice Kitchen is an absolute must-visit. You won't be disappointed!”
