  “I came in to the restaurant one hour after they opened to see the place being bleached. The dining room was covered in floor cleaner. Why are they deep cleaning the dining room at 6pm? You do it BEFORE people arrive to eat The place smells like bleach and I had to leave without ordering anything. Awful”

  “No doubt about the taste, it’s very authentic but the take away quantity was very very low . I ordered paneer chilli and there were literally some tiny pieces of paneer and rest all of the container was filled with capsicum and onion. Looks like the restaurant is less worried about the takeaway as it avoids immediate complaints .”

  “In all the years I have had a lamb or chicken biryani, they have always come with a curry sauce. I called curry leaves to ask about it and they totally dismissed it. Won’t use again.”

  “Curry Leaves Restaurant made our marriage day on 23 July 2026 truly special. We hosted a buffet lunch for 30 people, and everything was absolutely wonderful. The staff were incredibly supportive and prepared the food so nicely — every dish was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. Our guests loved it, and it made our celebration even more memorable.Thank you so much. Absolutely recommended!”

  “We got there just before closing time, absolutely starving, and they kept the place open so we could eat. They were patient, explained the menu, inquired about the spice level each of us could tolerate and were very fast bringing in the food. Which was soooo good. And it was not only us, europeans loving it, but the Indians that were with us said the same. Absolutely best indian restaurant in Colchester.”

  “I’ve been in the UK for about 6-7 months now, and after exploring a lot of Indian restaurants trying to find the right spot, I finally had one of the best dining experiences at Curry Leaves. A massive thank you to Chef Amit—the food he prepared was absolutely delicious and hit all the right notes. I had such a great time having food here and genuinely loved it. Highly recommend to anyone looking for phenomenal Indian cuisine!”
