Quick info
About Sailor Boy Freehouse
Sailor Boy Freehouse is a pub and restaurant on Beach Rd in Clacton On Sea, right on the coast beside the sea and the amusements. A fish and chip shop sits next door, so the routine is to order there, buy a drink at the pub, and wait for your name to be called. The pub also runs a food counter from inside, and its interior has a vintage style. Dogs are welcome, so walkers can bring them along. Reservations are required. The chip shop next door also fries Babybels and Oreos.

“Was in this place 14 years ago, and I must say I have drunk in some dives, but this place is definitely number one of the dirtiest, smelling places known to mankind, the staff were shocking, the beer was definitely watered down, the food was shocking, the people that frequented it well it was like the Star Wars bar (Mos Eisley Cantina) springs to mind, if you have no sense of smell or like the smell of urine, don’t mind getting crabs and like eating food unfit for human consumption, give it a go.”

“Great food. Great service. Just great really nice to see a proper pub with decent staff. The bar man was chatty and the ladies from Donna's food was super friendly. Really looking forward to going back. Thank you so much.”
