“This place is popular for good reason. However its popularity is also sadly working against it. There was a queue to get a table and then when you did get seated the service was painfully slow. Not really their fault. It quietened down after the lunchtime rush and service returned to more sensible times. This was a weekday lunch in October. Not what I would call peak season but perhaps it was an unusual occurrence. Otherwise a lovely lunch and good food.”

“Had a really enjoyable lunch here. Lovey food, friendly staff, great outdoor table in a shady spot during a hot day. Excellent place to have a light lunch while watching the world go by. Lots of occupied tables showed this to be a popular place.”

“What a charming cafe! Located in the middle of Cirencester, it feels like you’re abroad somewhere. All staff are super friendly and keen to provide good service. Very busy but was able to walk in without a reservation and take a shaded outdoor table. I stayed for a while after I finished my breakfast, drinking tap water and there was no feeling to vacate the table quickly etc. made to feel very welcome. Table service is something we lost since covid but these guys offer it which is lovely. I ordered the Full English, asked for scrambled eggs and crispy bacon and that’s what I got! Plenty of toast and butter, the coffee was delicious and hot. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the sausage but that’s probably down to personal tastes. All well cooked and presented and will definitely return if I’m ever back in Cirencester!”

“We ordered 2 sandwiches and they both tasted far too much of cheap margarine spread. Very little egg filling and coronation chicken had no flavour. Disappointed.”

“Good food but staff were very slow in taking orders. Food arrived an hour after sitting down. The drink order was taken first, breakfast order couldn’t be placed until long after the drinks were served. Not very attentive, efficient nor apologetic. Tables weren’t cleared quick enough and other people complaint about the lack of speed in being served. Family of four left because no one came to serve them”
