  “Very reluctant to leave this review, as we’ve been using this Chinese for many years and, generally, the food is really good. Don’t get me wrong, you occasionally get the odd meal that’s a little cold or not quite up to standard, but that’s a rarity. Nine times out of ten, the food is lovely, and we’ve had no complaints at all. We order regularly. However, tonight was extremely disappointing. We placed our order at 10:13pm. Yes, I appreciate that’s late, but the restaurant was still open and accepting orders. The food arrived at 10:26pm — just 13 minutes later. I honestly don’t understand how an order can be freshly cooked, packed and delivered to your door within that amount of time. Unfortunately, the food was clearly reheated/microwaved. It was absolutely scorching hot, which in itself wouldn’t be a problem, but the taste and texture made it obvious that it wasn’t freshly cooked. The salt and pepper chicken wings were particularly concerning, with the bones being black, which strongly suggests they had been reheated. To make matters worse, we were also missing the king prawns that we had paid for. We called to explain the situation, expecting at least some understanding or customer care, but were simply told, “We’ll add the king prawns to your next meal.” After this experience, there won’t be a next meal. We’ve let a few disappointing meals go in the past because we’ve been loyal customers for years and, overall, have usually been very happy. But tonight was a real let-down, both in terms of the food and the lack of customer service when we raised the issue. Really, really disappointed. Unfortunately, after tonight, we won’t be ordering again.”

  “Collected a take away from here last night. Used to use (China garden) years ago before it changed name. Not sure why I stopped using it tbh… Tried it again last night as the kids wanted a McDonald’s instead which is ideally situated next door, killed two birds with one stone and I’m glad we did, really nice Chinese and the portion sizes are very generous 🙂 See you again soon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

  “Fantastic service, delicious food. New to the area and I think we have tried pretty much every Chinese takeaway around the area, There’s no need to try any other takeaways. After a few takeaways from this Chinese now we certainly won’t be going anywhere else. I love how you can see the cooking area too, it’s spotless clean.”
