  “Superb gem in Cambridge! The noodles and broth are delicious. The Xiao Long Bao are as good as everyone says, and then alone are worth the visit. Dumplings are excellent. Portions are generous, with lots of protein (when applicable) and great value for money. Everything is prepared fresh and with lots of care. One thing to keep in mind is that service will be slower than in other places, as there seems to be only a couple making the food, taking orders, and overall manning every aspect of the restaurant, but, personally, I enjoyed the homey feel this gave the place. I think it added positively to the experience and allows us to enjoy the food more mindfully. My my main advice is to have patience when queuing and after ordering. It is 100% worth it.”

  “What a find in Cambridge! My husband and I visited multiple times during our time in Cambridge and every time this restaurant was fast, with fresh, hot food and excellent service. By UK standards, the prices are very reasonable. The xiao long bao are sensational- and their pan fried dumplings and noodles are also excellent. The best dumplings we have had! We enjoyed the place so much we will come back next time we are in Cambridge!”

  “Absolutely delicious! The Xiao Long Bao deserves all the hype! And the Freedom dumplings is just as good. The noodle was much more than we expected as well. Everything fairly priced (total was £30 for 3 dishes). It's a very simple setup and few tables. Be prepared to wait a little. And bring cash!”

  “I love love love the noodle 'al dente' texture. Ordered the dry noodle with scallion oil and spare ribs. Super delicious bowl of noodle. I highly recommend it!”

  “The xiao long bao's were very nice, and scallion oil noodles were chewy! Be sure to arrive early or be prepared to queue for a while as there's more demand than there is seating. Recommend the scallion oil noodles with beef brisket”

  “Very nice authentic Shanghainese noodles and dumplings! The place is managed by a couple, genuine and good service. Food portions are huge as well! We enjoyed a lot! We arrived at 7ish pm on a Thurs night and there were 5 groups queuing in front of us, better to manage your time before you visit.”

  “I have been to Noodle Plus plenty of times—at least once a month. I recommend it to anyone who ever comes across Cambridge. I find it's better than any other restaurant. It seems to be a family-run restaurant; the atmosphere is quite homey. It can get busy, but the food is worth the wait. I have had all the food possible on Regent Street, and you cannot find better homemade noodles. Better tenderised meat. I love ramen and noodles; it is truly one of, if not the best, I have ever had. It is very affordable and unique. If you It is perfect.”

  “A super small Chinese restaurant in Cambridge that offers traditional breakfast. Excellent quality and fair prices, but unfortunately, that also means it’s usually very crowded. You should be prepared for a long wait, but it’s definitely worth it! Once you’re inside, plan to take your time as well, since only two people handle everything on their own. I can really recommend the Hundun (馄饨) and pig’s ears (猪耳朵) - both are delicious! Definitely worth a visit!”

  “Food was delicious but we waited 40 mins to sit, 20 mins for our order to be taken and an other 40 mins for the food. We were there for 2 hours, and only 20 mins of that was spent eating. We ate under the watchful eyes of hungry customers standing by the door, waiting to eat. The food really was not worth all the wait when there are so many delicious, home made authentic food options on mill road with good service. I strongly urge the owners to hire an extra pair of hands to get food out quicker, seat more people and round off the great food with a decent altogether experience. The food is good and beautifully prepared, all done by hand. Good place to go if it’s quiet.”
