About O Camberley
O Camberley is a dance restaurant at 39-41 Obelisk Way in Camberley town centre, where dinner turns into a dance floor with themed Motown, 90s and R&B nights and a DJ. Music starts after the mains, and guests dance in the space between the tables and the bar. The menu runs from meatballs as a starter to sirloin steak as a main, with a pizza sized for two to share. Cocktails are served at the bar, and the bottomless brunch has the waiting staff topping up drinks. Groups can book hen dos and Christmas parties, with a three-course meal and pre-ordered dishes. The restaurant opens Wednesday to Saturday and is closed Sunday through Tuesday.

Customer Review Summary
Group celebrations with dancing drive the praise, especially hen dos, a Christmas party and the bottomless brunch, where reviewers describe a vibe from start to finish, a DJ, quick drink refills and generous portions. Several single out friendly staff, an approachable manager and easy pre-ordering for large parties. Close behind is the food, called tasty by diners who mention the pizza made for two and a pudding, though others describe cold, tasteless meatballs and a chewy, unseasoned sirloin steak, with mains arriving long after starters. The themed nights draw the sharpest criticism. Reviewers at the R&B, Motown and 90s evenings say little of the advertised music was played, the room was half full, and the volume made conversation hard. One reviewer reports their friends felt discriminated against by staff, and the same account describes undercooked prawns, a salmon dish with very spicy vegetables and caipirinhas that were mostly ice. Others mention little dance space near the bar and toilet doors without locks. One diner who asked for a takeaway box for leftover pizza was brought tin foil.

“Worse experience ever don’t recommend at all come here last night got one drink that was already on the table that was a Budweiser bottle drink and the food was awful and shocking not worth the money at all your better off going somewhere else the place is small staff are rude. Family member had a Pepsi and it tasted like water and lemonade that tasted like water. The alcoholic drinks were awful. The only decent thing was the beer Budweiser bottle”

“☆☆☆☆ I’m honestly so disappointed with my experience at this place. It was my birthday, and I had been looking forward to trying somewhere new, especially as it was advertised as a 90s–2000s R&B night (which it absolutely was not — they played maybe five songs from that era all night). Five hours before my 9:00pm booking, I emailed and sent a DM on Instagram because they don’t have a contact number, asking if I could slightly delay the time. I received a reply only two hours before the booking, and the tone was extremely hostile, saying I had to arrive by 9:15 at the latest and that the time couldn’t be changed. We arrived at 9:40 and were still let in — and the bar wasn’t even half full the entire night. So I genuinely don’t understand why there was such an aggressive refusal to adjust the booking. The service throughout the night was horrible. My friends don’t speak English very well, and they felt very uncomfortable and discriminated against. Our server, Kayleigh, and her male coworker repeatedly looked over at our table and laughed, which my friends noticed and felt upset about. It made the whole atmosphere awkward and unwelcoming. The food was also very poor. I specifically told the server that one of my friends cannot eat spicy food. We ordered the salmon, which did not state on the menu that it was spicy — yet the vegetables served with it were extremely spicy (and I say that as someone who enjoys spice). My friend ended up having to sit there eating ice for 30 minutes because her mouth was burning. We also ordered a prawn dish, and the prawns came out undercooked. When I raised this, the server said she could “heat it up” and can’t change the dish, rather than properly re-cook or replace it. I declined and asked to just take it back. I then asked for an extra plate so I could share my meal with my friend, and it took 15 minutes to arrive — by which time we had already shared from the same plate. The drinks were just as disappointing. We ordered caipirinhas, and they were mostly ice and didn’t taste authentic at all( being a Brazilian drink we know it shouldn’t taste like that). One of my friends found hers too strong and politely asked to change it. It was changed, but again with visible attitude. To top it off, when I went to pay, the male server asked in a condescending tone if we’d had a good time, then laughed with Kayleigh. I simply said, “It was okay.” We left around 11:40 and ended up going through the McDonald’s drive-thru because we were still hungry. This was honestly the worst experience I’ve had. For what was supposed to be a special birthday night, it was upsetting, uncomfortable, and completely underwhelming. I would not recommend. To pay £155 for the booking (drinks not included) and unable to get a refund that was a waste of money, thankful my friend doesn’t have a life threatening allergy to spice as that could of gone very badly.”

“This was our first time here at O Camberley and what a night we had. My total party was 50 people aswell as other people enjoying there christmas party. It was a brilliant night. Well planned and set out. Great communication prior to the event as well as a smooth transition for food orders. All the staff were amazing and served us well. The food was so tasty and arrived hot. The DJ played some brilliant music which covered all people likes. Everyone enjoyed the night, it was 10/10 from us. We are already planning our Sping 2026 event here. Strongly recommend O Camberley.”

“This was my first time at O Camberley and I had the best time. The atmosphere was just right and the staff were incredible. The food was super tasty and you definitely get what you pay for I wish I could have ate more but I was so full with the volume and generosity of food ! The Service was so fast, we did bottomless brunch and the minute I had finished my drink our waitress made sure I had another drink in hand. Caitlin was our server and she was spot on with everything, always smiling and making out experience the best it could possibly be 💘”

“Twas a vibe from start to finish. Booked in for 20 odd people for a hen do. The process of that was easy enough, as was preordering meals. Was able to arrive before opening to decorate the tables and our hostess (Holly) explained how everything was gonna go down, she was a star all night! The bar staff-A1! Such lovely personalities and energy, good time management and made beaut cocktails. Loved them both! The food- as a fussy eater I was sure I wouldn’t like something, but I thoroughly enjoyed all my meals. The general layout of the place is cute, I loved that once mains were done, the music starts and you legit dance anywhere (apart from on the tables, but that’s fine cause I defo would have broke my neck) the music was on point the entire night. The group I went with ranged from 30-70 and we all had an amazing time! Also liked that the manager was around and open to questions and gave candid answers. Would 10000% recommend and defo go again!”
