  “We had an absolutely exceptional time here. We hired the private dining room for our wedding celebration and it honestly could not have gone better. Jay and his team were patient, present and provided absolutely flawless service (which is no easy task with 20 noisy guests to feed and water!) The food and drink was wonderful and we were able to allow guests to choose from the main menu. It was such a nerve-wracking thing choosing a venue for an important day and we can't thank Mason's enough. Highly recommended and we'll be back for sure. Many thanks!”

  “We visited for a friends birthday lunch on a Sunday. We don't live local so it's been a few years since the last visit. Friendly and competent staff and excellent food and drink. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes were the best I have ever had in a restaurant. It got busier in the restaurant and car park as we left.”

  “Went to Masons for our one year together anniversary. Absolutely stunning food, all staff and waitresses were amazing, nothing was too much trouble and the atmosphere was beautiful, made more special with the piano man who was also great. Would highly recommend Masons, you won’t be disappointed. We will be going back for sure. Thank you all for making our anniversary special ❤️”

  “Had a celebration meal here for our 25th wedding anniversary and, as usual, it was excellent. It isn't cheap but is still good value as the setting and the food are superb. The staff are great and you never feel rushed. I couldn't recommend it enough for a special occasion.”

  “We had our Christmas Dinner at Masons this year and it was perfect. The food, drink and service was spot on. The pianist set a great atmosphere in the well decorated and newly renovated restaurant. Even though it was busy there was never a point we were left waiting. Great experience and will be returning for non festive meals.”

  “Super meal for a very special birthday. We were not easy to accommodate, with indecision and late notices of meals, but the staff were professional at all times. Food was superb, albeit a shame sides were quite expensive and it seemed no sides came with the main meal - but the pigeon was superb, as was the pork belly. Travelled a long way (from Sheffield that morning) and it was great to be in such a relaxed and attentive atmosphere. 4 stars for atmosphere was purely as it was quite quiet, but we we shielded from that anyway and had our own space.”

  “Large group booking for a family birthday, were in the back room which was perfect for us, although shared with another group. Service was excellent, food was superb and all delivered hot and in good time, (sides are huge so get them to share). Live pianist playing was lovely. Not cheap but great for a special occasion.”

  “10/10!! The food was the standout, but that being said, everything was absolutely on point. Recently renovated, the interior was looking amazing. Great vibe and wonderful finish. The staff were lovely and polite and we were served in a very timely fashion. The food.....MY GOODNESS! Every single dish and item on that dish was incredible. Worth every penny! Take your partner, your parents and or a neighbour if you have to! Go there now!”

  “The refurbishment has been done very well. The service was very professional and friendly. We had a lovely waitress. The vegetarian food was lovely. The nut roast was the best that I've eaten. And the veggie risotto was very nice. I liked the bowl it came in. The field mushroom topping was a little too salty and too strong blue cheese flavour for my liking. Though I did still eat it all as it tasted nice overall. I'll definitely go back and hope they can increase the amount of veggie food.”
