Customer Review Summary

Chai draws the most praise, with reviewers singling out the karak chai as served very hot, authentic and rich, and the pink tea as a favourite. Falooda, fresh-baked donuts and mini dutch pancakes sit close behind, and several describe fast, friendly service and a generous falooda with plenty of ice cream. Opinion splits on the desserts, though. One reviewer who travelled from Luton says five faloodas arrived with no ice cream and were thin like water, another found a custard dessert served in a tiny cup, and a third describes the Korean cream donut box as a brioche bun with hard, clotted-cheese-textured cream. A regular reports tea that had clearly sat too long in its container, and another says the late-night drive-thru queue spilled onto the main road. The sharpest complaint describes a wait that stretched far beyond the expected few minutes in a nearly empty cafe, ending with a wrong order and ice cream that arrived melted and had to be redone.

“As a regular customer, I feel compelled to share some honest feedback. Over the past couple of months, Chacha Chai has disappointed me on several occasions. I visit frequently and have always appreciated the brand, which is why I believe this feedback is worth sharing. The main issue is the consistency and freshness of the tea. Multiple times, I have been served tea that was clearly sitting in the container for too long. Tea has a limited serving window; after a certain period, its aroma, taste, and overall quality deteriorate significantly. As a regular customer, this difference is very noticeable. I understand that customer flow varies throughout the day, especially during warmer weather when fewer people may order tea. However, a well-established brand should not wait for a container to be completely finished before preparing a fresh batch. Maintaining quality should take priority over maximizing every last cup from an old batch. I would strongly recommend training staff to replace prepared tea after a reasonable period, even if the container is not empty. Serving stale tea may save a little product in the short term, but it risks damaging customer trust and the reputation of the brand in the long run. This feedback is shared sincerely and with respect because I genuinely like Chacha Chai and have been a loyal customer for a long time. I will continue to visit, but if this issue continues, I may unfortunately have to start looking elsewhere for my daily tea. I hope this feedback is taken constructively and helps maintain the quality standards that made this brand successful in the first place.”

“Waited for over half an hour for 2 cups of tea and 2 scoops of ice cream and brownies.a 5 minute wait was a 40 minute one.the staff and the owner (nasir) could clearly see that we were waiting and chose to ignore us and even after 20 minutes had the audacity to give the wrong order.and then admitted they hadn’t even started in the first place as when we said it was the wrong order he seemed completely oblivious and claimed he was going to look over our order but didn’t come back when the ice cream came it was melted and had to be redone .the image below clearly shows how empty the place was at the time yet still there was this atrocious wait.i do not recommend.”

“Korean cream donut box' Donut where??? It's a BRIOCHE BUN filled with FRIDGE taste of 'cream' that was HARD and was more like a CLOTTED CHEESE TEXTURE. £15 for that??? Take it off the menu to avoid further embarrassment!”

“I've always drove past this place & never understood why people love it so much until I tried it, I tried the Karak chai & Falooda and it was absolutely delicious. The chai was served at a very hot temperature and tasted very authentic, with a rich and satisfying flavour. The Falooda was delicious, generous amount of Falooda and ice cream. The wait time was also very quick—I only waited a few minutes, which was great for a takeaway order. However, one issue I noticed was the drive-thru situation late at night. When I went around 10:30 p.m, the queue extended all the way onto the main road. It was quite disruptive for regular traffic and could easily become dangerous for both drivers and pedestrians trying to cross. It was very uncomfortable. I’m generally not a fan of drive-thru setups that spill onto public roads because it creates congestion and feels unorganised. I’ve seen similar issues at other places, where the queue can also block traffic. Businesses offering a drive-thru should ideally have the proper space and infrastructure to manage it safely, similar to larger chains. Without that, it can become a hazard during busy times. Aside from that issue, the chai & flooda itself was excellent and definitely worth the price. I look forward to trying more from the menu in the future.”
