About Cafe West
Cafe West is a community cafe on Wanstead Cres in Bradford, running activities for both children and adults alongside its food and drink counter. Street dance, Jiu Jitsu and boxing sit next to a kids club, and local children get holiday activities during school breaks. The kitchen serves toasties, with freshly ground coffee to go with them. For people struggling in the area, the cafe provides food parcels and donated food, and staff help with forms and advice. Visitors can choose a book from the library, and a space at the back is open to anyone who needs to work or hold a meeting. The cafe takes walk-ins.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers describe Cafe West first as a community hub, with a packed run of activities for every age group, including street dance, Jiu Jitsu, boxing, a kids club and courses for adults. Several credit the school holiday programme with giving parents worry-free time, and one calls the place inclusive and welcoming, even for someone who struggles with anxiety. A library lets visitors choose a book over a cuppa, and one reviewer singles out a lovely space at the back that anyone can use for meetings or getting work done. Close behind is the café itself, where diners mention a tasty toasty, burgers they rate better than McDonald's at a fraction of the cost, freshly ground coffee and hot chocolates, with the quality described as consistent. Staff are called helpful, friendly and efficient, and one reviewer says they got help with important forms they could not manage alone. Others note food parcels and advice for people struggling in the area, plus an occasional hub serving food donated by companies.

“What a wonderful place this is. Happened to stumble upon it whilst having a walk in the area. .. I ordered a toasty and cuppa and the prices were brilliant and the toasty very tasty. The staff are so pleasent and extremely helpful and told me about all the different activities they have on there for the community from activities from boxing, a library and even activities to suit the mature members. They also provide food to people that are struggling in the area and have a little hub every now and again with food donated from various companies. What a gem this place is. I highly recommend you give it a visit and maybe even enroll yourself or your children upto some activities. You won't be disappointed. I'll be back guys xx”
