  “We chose Miller & Carter BH2 to celebrate our anniversary because we both love steak and were really looking forward to a special meal. Unfortunately, it was an extremely disappointing experience. I ordered my steak medium, but it arrived almost completely raw inside. It was also poorly cooked and the quality of the beef was very disappointing. It was tough, chewy and definitely did not have that melt-in-the-mouth quality you expect from a good steak. It honestly tasted like cheap beef that had been poorly cooked. The chips were also cold, which made the whole experience even worse. The only way I could make the steak remotely enjoyable was by covering it in peppercorn sauce to give it some flavour. For a restaurant that specialises in steak, and especially considering the price, this was simply not acceptable. We chose Miller & Carter specifically because we both love steak and wanted to celebrate our anniversary with a really good meal. Sadly, the food completely spoiled what should have been a special occasion. We’ve had much better steaks elsewhere for considerably less money. This was, without a doubt, the worst steak we’ve ever eaten.”

  “We truly had the best best BESTEST time at Miller and Carter. I took my partner for his birthday celebration, our server Hannah we super, she was so friendly and had the nicest smile. Our food was delicious, we ate every single mouthful! They even brought a cake on the house with a candle in it and also gave my partner a glass of wine on the house. We felt soo well looked after and we can’t wait to come back. The manager who was front of desk (I think he had glasses - I can’t for the life of me remember his name), he was fantastic too and deserves a mention! 10/10 from us and can’t wait to come back x”

  “We had such a wonderful experience, and a huge part of that was thanks to steak expert Rich. He was incredibly kind, professional, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure we enjoyed our evening. He regularly checked that everything was perfect and asked if we needed anything else, making us feel truly welcomed from the moment we arrived. What really stood out was his exceptional customer service. I wasn’t sure which red wine to choose, so instead of simply recommending one, he kindly brought me a selection of wines to taste so I could find the one I liked best. That thoughtful gesture made all the difference. Thanks to him, I discovered a wine I absolutely loved and now know exactly what I’ll order when I come back. A special compliment also goes to Chef Mark. The food was absolutely delicious—beautifully presented, full of flavour, and cooked to perfection. Every dish was outstanding and clearly prepared with great care and passion. This combination of exceptional food and outstanding service is exactly what makes people return. We left feeling genuinely looked after, and that’s something you don’t experience everywhere. A huge thank you to the entire team, especially our waiter and Chef Mark. You made our evening unforgettable, and we can’t wait to come back!”

  “We had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Emilia who served us was welcoming, professional, and helped us choose the perfect steaks. She even took the time to check with the chef about which type of steak would best suit our tastes, and her recommendation was perfect. To top it all off, we were surprised with a complimentary cake on the house, which was such a thoughtful gesture and made our visit even more special. The food was excellent, the service was outstanding, and we left very happy. We would definitely recommend this steakhouse and look forward to coming back.”

  “I came here this evening with my girlfriend to celebrate our first anniversary (we've been here together before and had an amazing experience) and had the most perfect evening. The food was excellent, service was perfect, and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. Katie in particular was amazing- thank you so much for the complimentary dessert ❤️”

  “Lovely food. Last time we went to another miller and carter the food was not good at all. Here at the BH2 the service, food and service was perfect. Maya was the perfect host. Hats off to her and a credit to the business. We didn’t book we just walked in, but if your going I would book to avid disappointment”

  “An awful experience and it completely ruined my evening. The restaurant is clearly understaffed, but our server was polite and was doing the best she could. The biggest issue is with the maitre d and how ridiculously slow, inefficient and completely ineffective he was. We had a reservation for a table which he made us wait 20 minutes for, didn’t offer any menus nor take a drinks order while waiting. He was walking around the place and greeting incoming customers but not seating guests, and when he did it was all out of order and randomly when he could be bothered. When we arrived at our table the seats were filthy, with food all over a couple of the seats and crumbs and cutlery all over the floor. When asked if this could be cleaned when we finally managed to flag down one of the wait staff, they said we would have to wait again to change tables when all we needed was for it to be cleaned. When we tried to order they had a few items on the menu that were not available. It would be been much more helpful if they had just told us this from the start rather than telling you if you try to order it, just a very frustrating experience. The food was general Miller and Carter fare when it eventually came, pretty decent but not outstanding. The worst part was our triple cooked chips were soft, soggy and cold and so were all the sauces. Food came out in the wrong order, with our lettuce wedge coming about 5 minutes after our meal with no steak knives until we were about half way through our steaks. Bear in mind it was already over 90 minutes when we entered the restaurant until we got our food. Aside from our polite waitress who was doing the best she could in what was clearly a terrible work environment, the rest of the experience was hideous, particularly as this was meant to be a nice birthday meal. We didn’t bother with dessert as by this point we had been there for over 2 hours and just asked for the bill and left. Don’t bother with this place. I have never had such an awful experience at any other Miller and Carter location, go somewhere that actually values your custom and where the staff actually know what they are doing. Zero stars if that was possible. It was THAT bad.”
