Customer Review Summary
The sizzling Lambmutin dish draws the most mentions. One diner calls the Lambmutin Mushroom Sizzle out of this world, and another pairs the Lambmutin BBQ with a mixed kebab starter and chicken khari. Close behind are the tandoori mixed grill plated off a hot plate at the table, lamb chops in a sharing starter, a tender lamb ceylon curry, flavourful tandoori chicken and melt in your mouth lamb. The naan is described as buttery, thin and crispy, and one reviewer says the samosas and dahl are family recipes with no oily dishes. Several note the recent change of ownership and a family run feel, with friendly, welcoming waiters who talked them through the menu and made recommendations. Reviewers also call the decor beautiful and the restaurant clean, and one takeaway customer found the food authentic and hot. Portions are described as generous, with one table taking food home. One diner plans to return for the Joypuri signature dish after the chef came out to meet customers and suggested it.

“I had a lovely meal here this evening with my Mum; we absolutely loved it! Beautifully decorated inside, and we were seated in a gorgeous tortoise booth. The starter was a sharing plate and came with lamb chops, which is rare to see on an Indian restaurant menu. The main course I had was tandoori mixed grill, which was plated off a hot plate next to me! All absolutely delicious! My mum had a lamb ceylon curry, the meat was very tender and soft, she also really enjoyed hers. The naan bread was buttery, nice, thin, and crispy with some doughy parts; it was very nice! Lastly, the service was impeccable, and we were made to feel very welcome and relaxed. Thank you for such a wonderful dining experience and a delicious meal. We will definitely be back! :)”

“Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was outstanding – full of flavour, perfectly cooked, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Every dish we ordered was delicious, especially the curry, which was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and couldn’t do enough for us, creating a great atmosphere throughout the evening. The restaurant was spotless, the service was quick, and the portions were generous. If you’re looking for authentic, high-quality Indian food, this place is a must-visit. Easily a 10/10 and I’ll definitely be returning soon. Highly recommended!”
